One week later..
Lukas' POV:
He did it. Just like I had asked. Ezra won't be a problem anymore, like she was in the beginning. She was going to jeopardize my relationship with Noah. There is a funeral being held for her in about a week. I had to meet up with Asher with his money. I owed him a solid $10,000 for his efforts. We met up at a hotel room down the street. I gave him his money and we talked a little about how this will all go.
"I won't have anything to do with this if you get caught, right?" I asked him.
"I don't know, I've never been caught." he said with a chuckle.
"Did you hear about her funeral? I guess her parents are coming down from Minnesota. What a culture shock that will be!" I said in joyfulness.
"Yeah, you going?" he asked in curiosity.
"I'll have to so fingers won't get pointed at me, will you?" I asked.
"I might just stand back and watch over the crowd. Pleasure doing business with you, sir," he said with a hint more raspiness than normal.
"Right back at you," I said as I walked out of the door.
