Chapter 9

When I woke up I checked my phone to see that it was only 9:30. 'So early' I thought as I rolled over pulling my blanket over my head. As soon as I closed my eyes I head a knock on my door.
"Vanessa go away me and Linda are too tired." I said snuggling into my pillow. I heard my door open and footsteps that lead to my bed.

"Let's go get our nails done" Vanessa said flopping onto my bed. I whined knowing she wouldn't be dropping this.

"No my nails look fine". I said face still covered by my blanket. She scoffed.

"Ya your nails look fine for someone who isn't trying to get a boyfriend, but now that you and Sean are gonna start dating you need to have your nails done." She said trying to pull at the blanket.

"I honestly doubt that Sean cares what I do with my nails" I said holding on tight to my blanket.

"Please it-" she was in the middle of trying to persuade me when we heard a buzz from my phone. I sighed moving the cover from my head so I could grab my phone. Just to see Devin FaceTiming me.

"Hey" I said yawning.

"Do you wanna come get breakfast with me, Sage, and Sean" Devin smiled. Before I could give him an answer Vanessa called over my shoulder.

"She can't we're getting our nails done today" She said giving me a smug smile. I immediately gave her a dirty look.

"That sounds fun can I come?" Devin asked with a smile on his face.

"I thought you were gonna get breakfast with the guys" I said with a laugh.

"Let me tell them you're gonna get your nails done Sage will be down to go too." Devin said as he ran to go tell them his new plans for the day.
"Vee isn't gonna come to breakfast cause she's getting her nails done with Vanessa. I'm gonna go with them instead do you guys wanna go?" Devin asked them.

"Shit I'm down" I heard Sage answer.

"I'll go too" I heard Sean agree. I sucked in a breath, I have no idea what to even say to Sean after yesterday.

"But I'm hungry" I could hear Nick whine.

"You guys don't have to with us" I tried to reason. "I'm not even sure I'm gonna actually go"

"It's fine we'll all go" Devin said. "What time do you want us at your place?" I looked at my phone, I can call and try to get us an appointment for 11:30 and after we can stop and grab something to eat" I sighed.

Soon after we hung up and I jumped into the shower. The entire time I was getting ready all I could think about was how I should act with Sean. How was Sean gonna act? Were we gonna act like nothing happened or were we gonna get a chance to talk about yesterday.

Later I finished putting on my makeup and was looking for something to wear when I heard my phone go off signaling I got a text.

Sean🙄: Howd you sleep?

Me: Wow no good morning or anything

Me : Lol so romantic

Sean🙄: So needy

I laughed tossing my phone onto my bed. I walked to my closet to look for something to wear. I was moving through the clothes I have hanging when I found a cute pastel blue summer dress.
'Sean will think this is cute' I thought to myself as I put it on.

After i finished getting dressed Sean sent me another text.

Sean🙄: 5 minutes away

Me: Okok

"They're almost here" I called to Vanessa as I grabbed my shoes making my way to the living room.

"I'm coming I'm coming" she said running to catch up.

As we finished putting on our shoes my phone went off with another text from Sean.

Sean🙄: Here

"They're here" I said picking up my purse.

"I'm ready" Vanessa said standing up from the couch. We made our way outside to see the guys had come in to different cars. We walked up to Devin's car.

"Why'd you guys come into two cars?" I asked looking from him to Sean's car.

"We wouldn't have all fit in one car" Devin and Sage said.

"Ya but you guys could have been in one car and me and Vanessa could have taken my car." I said with a laugh.

"You know what, that could've work too" Devin said with a laugh. "Are you gonna get in?" Devin asked unlocking his car.

"You already know they're gonna ride with us" Nick called from Sean's car.

"They like us better" Devin called after him.

"Who you choosing" Nick yelled.

"I'd rather not be third wheeling with Sean and Nick so I'll go with Devin and Sage." I laughed getting into Devin's car with Vanessa.

"You're just jealous Sean likes me better!" Nick yelled at me.

"I wouldn't bet on that" I winked at Nick.
