Suburb Talks

Chapter 21

While everyone was talking I picked up my phone to post some pictures I had taken dressed up as blossom.
I chose a few different ones me doing my makeup for today, me Maru and Cynthia dressed up as the Power puff girls and the three of us with Nick who was dressed up as The Professor and the last one was of me and Sean with Sean dressed up as Brick.

I used a part of the Power puff girls intro as my caption "Sugar, spice and everything nice these were the ingredients chosen to make the perfect little girl". As I clicked upload I couldn't help but steal a glance at Sean who was still next to me sitting on the arm rest of the couch.
'He's so cute' I found myself thinking. Sean caught me staring and winked at  me. An hour later everyone was sitting down at a table and were all joking around when Cynthia turned to me.

"So have you and Oliver talked more" as soon as the words left her mouth I felt Nick stiffen up next to me.

"No" I answered maybe a little too quickly. "He's reached out but I haven't responded", I said trying to look anywhere but Sean.

"I think you should see what he has to say" Cynthia said taking a bite of her food. "He's cute, seems like your type". Before I could respond Nick cut in making me want to die on the spot.

"They don't even have anything in common why's she gonna go out with him" Nick said rolling his eyes.

"How do we know that. The first time they tried talking Veronica was tipsy and tired of course they're not gonna talk." Cynthia started giving him a dirty look. "But now she can really talk to him get to know him see how cute he actually is and go on a date with him."

"Please we all know Veronica's not gonna make the first move. She's only ever been with guys who make the first move.
If we're waiting for her to make the move we're gonna be old and grey by then." Sage interrupted making the group laugh.

"You just gonna let them talk about you that way?" Sean said eyeing me with a smile.

"They're not wrong" I mumbled picking up my drink. As the dinner continued we all went back and forth just talking and joking around my dating life put on the back burner.

As the night out came to a close we all came back to Nick and Sean's when Devin turned to look at me. "Need a ride home?" He asked  opening up his door.

"I'm gonna stay for a bit longer" I said shaking my head.  "Nick said he'd help me plan out my next video" I said using the first excuse that I could think of. 
Devin nodded getting in his car and pulling out. Me Sean and Nick walked all of us choosing to stay quiet.

"Luke!" Nick called out. "You here?" All we heard back was silence in response.

"Ready to go to bed?" Sean said wrapping his arms around me. Before I could respond Nick chimed in.

"No no no, before you go upstairs and play boyfriend and girlfriend we all need to talk about what's going on here". Nick said motioning towards me and Sean.  "He already looks like he can't be separated from you".

"And you, now you're always sitting next to her hand on her leg when you think no one can see. Next time we all go out you're gonna end up getting exposed because someone can't keep his hands to himself."
"So how are you gonna go about this?" Nick said giving us a knowing look. "Are you gonna tell everyone or are you gonna wait till someone else comes into and finds Sean on top of you again, or better yet when a fan sees you grabbing onto Veronica when you think no one's looking?" Nick said looking like he was already over the situation.

"We'll tell them when the times right" Sean said not paying Nick any mind. "When you start talking with someone you don't announce it to all your friends and family the exact minute you start off,  you wait a bit" Sean said eyeing Nick.

"That's when you don't know if the relationships gonna work out!"
Nick said exasperated, "If you tell everyone right now that you guys started seeing each other I don't think anyone's gonna be surprised. If anything all anyone is gonna talk about how they knew you'd end up together."

"What do you think" Sean mumbled in my ear. "You've been pretty quiet about this, when do you want to tell people that we've been seeing each other?" I tapped my fingers against his arms resting along my waist.

"Maybe just one more week" I suggested quietly. "This is all still new we should have time to keep it just for us, just for a little more" Sean nodded his head.

"A week's good" he nodded in agreement.

"You see, that's all you needed to do" Nick said throwing his arms in the air. "You just needed to figure out how you guys were gonna go about this" he said already walking towards his room.

Me and Sean walked towards his room when he tossed me a shirt to sleep in. "Just one week and then we'll tell everyone" he said leaning down to kiss me. I hummed in agreement. Just one week and now someone other than Nick and Teann would know the secret.
