Y/N POV
It's been 3 months since Mattheo and I broke up, and I haven't gotten over him one bit. I know i broke things off with him to begin with but i really do miss him. 

It's the first day back since Christmas break and I walk down the halls looking for my first class. I feel someone tap my shoulder and I turn around.

"Hey girl!" Pansy says and smiles as she starts walking next to me

"Hey Pan!" I say and smile back at her and look beside her to see Blaise "Hi Blaise" I wave to him
He gives me a smile back.

"So what class do you have first?" I ask them

"We both have DADA" she says "what about you?"

"Me too!" i say

"Cool! we should sit next to each other!" Pansy says

"Yes!" I say as we walk into class.

"Everyone to the back of the room! You have assigned seats" I hear Professor Snape say and I give a look to Pansy

When we make it to the back of the room I look around to see who's in this class with us this semester. I don't see anyone else I'm friends with. Then the door to the class suddenly opens and everyone turns their heads towards it.

"Late on the first day I see Mr. Riddle" Snape says and I feel my heart beating faster

"Sorry Professor" Mattheo says

"It's alright, to the back of the class you go. You have assigned seats this semester" he says gesturing to the back of the class

Mattheo goes and stands next to Blaise and Blaise gives him a nod. I look over at him but he's paying attention to Snape talking. I look away from him to listen to Snape

"Now for the seats. This first desk Pansy Parkinson and Hermione Granger. Second desk Luna Lovegood and Blaise Zabini. Third desk Mattheo Riddle, Y/N Diggory." Snape says. After hearing that I look up at him and he's already looking at me.

Mattheos POV
Shit I'm late. I think. On the first fucking day too. I open the door and see everyone in the back of the room. My eyes land her. Still as perfect as the day I met her. I miss her but I know she wants nothing to do with me.

"Late on the first day I see Mr. Riddle" Professor Snape says. I tear my eyes away from Y/N and look at him. I nod slightly.

"Sorry Professor" I say

"It's alright, to the back of the class you go. You have assigned seats this semester" Snape says gesturing to the back of the class. I nod and head to the back of the class.

I stand next to Blaise and he gives me a nod. I look at Professor while he starts reading off the seating chart. I glance at Y/N. She looks beautiful, just as I remembered.

"Now for the seats. This first desk Pansy Parkinson and Hermione Granger. Second desk Luna Lovegood and Blaise Zabini. Third desk Mattheo Riddle, Y/N Diggory." Snape says. I look over at Y/N and she looks shocked. She looks up at me but is startled when she sees me look first. I walk over to our desk as Snape continues to read off the seats. After a couple minutes she walks over and sits down next to me. I watch her out the corner of my eye.

She turns towards me. I can tell she's contemplating saying something. "Hey" she says

I glance at her. "Hey" I say "It's been a while"

"Yeah" she responds "how have you been?"

Y/N POV
Mattheo walks over to our desk. My mind is racing. After what feels like forever I walk over and sit down next to him. I glance at him and think about saying something. We dated for 2 years it shouldn't be awkward. Right?
