Every time I try to open up I get told i'm just dramatic or someone has it harder. I've always had bad anxiety and depression, but this time it's worse. Something is different. I don't want to leave my room, i don't want to go out, i've been skipping classes. The only person who seems to listen to me is Mattheo.

"Hey. Why don't you come down to breakfast with me?" Pansy says to me

"No. I'm okay I'm not hungry." i say rolling over in my bed

"C'mon y/n. Stop being dramatic and get out of bed" she says pulling the covers off over me. A cool rush of air touches my skin.

"Hey!" i say raising my voice and taking back the covers

"Ugh you're such an attention seeker." she says and walks out

You're. Such. An. Attention. Seeker. 5 words that shouldn't mean anything but in this moment made me wanna die. Is that how people saw me? That's how my best friend saw me so... what do other people think. Then, a knock on the door draws me out of whatever zone out I was in.

"Come in" I say

The door slowly opens like the person behind didn't it is unsure about what I said.

"Y/n?" I hear a deep voice say. I recognized that voice... Mattheo.

"Hey Mattheo." I say and sit up in my bed "What's up?"

"Nothing. I just noticed you weren't at breakfast and Pansy said you were in your room so..." he trailed off

"Awhhhh. Did u miss me?" I tease him

"Uh sure.." he said "I noticed something was up with you and I wanted just to check up on you"

"Oh that's sweet.. but I'm fine" I say and he gives me a disapproving look. How does he know? It's like he can read me like a book.

"Really I'm fine" I say

"No you're not y/n and it's okay." He says. I break down. He hugs me and holds me while I cry.

"I don't know what's going on. I- I'm just so overwhelmed and stressed" I say in between sobs "I don't know what to do. I-" I break even more

"Sh... sh... it's okay I'm here" he's says stroking my hair "let it all out"
