If I tried to tell you that this is the end of the story, would you believe me?
.
.
.
Yeah, I wouldn't believe me, either. But we'll circle back around to this.
Psychopathy was released on March 22nd, 2021. And now, here we are, 2 years and 11 months to the day later. It's been 7 years, one month, and four days since I first released Psychosis, and that's just so crazy to me. Little sixteen-year-old me could have never imagined we'd end up here. But here we are, at the end of the second book. The first book has over 160K reads, and that just... astounds me. That people are still reading it so long after it ended, that both books gain reads and popularity every single day. It's everything that 16-year-old me dreamed of but never thought would happen.
And that's so bittersweet for me. I wish I could tell Teenage River just how far she would go in seven years. I wish I could tell Teenage River that she wouldn't be the only person to love this series, to love the series that really started it all. This series is my baby, and it's my pride and joy to share it with all of you. It really is, and I can't express how grateful I am. There's not the right combination of words to express just how much every vote, every comment fills my heart and keeps me going.
Even if those comments are just expressing frustration at my tendency to leave y'all in suspense. Sorry about that. Y'all should know by now that writers are sadistic to both their readers and their characters.
I really don't deserve any of you, but I'm grateful nonetheless. Thank you for putting up with me and for showing your love for the story and the characters. I may have created Ciara Byrne, but it's truly you guys, the readers, that bring her to life. It's all of you that give her a life and a substance beyond the words on a page. It's all of you who inspire me to continue telling her story.
As with the first book, the soundtrack will be in the next chapter. For this book, the soundtrack consists of twenty songs and will again be in alphabetical order.
And now, what I know everyone wants to know. Yes, there is a third book to this series, and since I'm feeling generous, I'll just tell you that the third book will be called Sociopathy. However, I'm taking a step back from this series before I release the third book. I'm not stepping away from writing completely, though. I'm taking this break from the Psychosis series to focus on finishing my novel, The City Of Death.
To tell you the truth, I've been neglecting TCOD so I could focus on finishing Psychopathy. And once I finish TCOD, I'll either work on Sociopathy, or I might spend a little time working on some of my other projects that have been completely abandoned. I haven't touched my band fics in... well, years, probably. I've been so focused on Psychopathy and The City Of Death. And that makes me sad, because I did love those stories and it pains me that I never finished them. So depending on how long it takes me to finish TCOD, I might give some of those fics some love before I come back to this series.
But not to fear. I'll be giving y'all updates as often as I can on my profile, and when it's time to come back and release Sociopathy, I'll put an update in this book, as well. I won't leave y'all out of the loop. But, just as I did last time, I want to give you a sneak peek into the next book, beyond just the title. But this is going to be a little different. I'm not offering an excerpt this time- for the life of me, I can't pick an appropriate scene to share with you. So here are the options this time.

Summary
Q&A session (either within this book or I've been toying with the idea of a live Q&A session on Instagram)
So, you all know what to do. Let me know what you want to see, and I'll make it happen. Now that I'm getting my bedroom fully furnished (ya girl's tax return went to good use), I am seriously considering the idea of a live Q&A sesh. I might just do it anyway, even if y'all pick another option. Two birds, one stone, right? Either way, if you find yourself missing my writing, I have plenty of other works for you guys to look through. If you want.
Once again, thank you. For everything you guys do for me and Ciara.
I can't tell you how excited I am to share the next part of Ciara's story with you.
