Third person pov.

As Lisa started wandering through the vast corridors of the palace, her mind filled with questions and uncertainties, she couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched.

Surrounding her seemed to amplify her sense of isolation, making her yearn for something, anything, to break the monotony of her existence.

Lost in her thoughts, Lisa rounded a corner and nearly collided with a member of the palace staff. He was tall and imposing, with a sharp gaze that seemed to pierce through her defenses.

"Apologies, miss," the staff member said, his voice smooth but tinged with a hint of something darker. "I didn't mean to startle you."

Lisa nodded, trying to suppress the creep. "It's fine," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

The staff member's lips curved into a predatory smile, and Lisa couldn't help but feel a shiver. There was something about his demeanor that set her on edge

"You must be the new guest of madam Kim. Are you enjoying your stay at the palace, miss?" he asked, his tone dripping with false sincerity.

Lisa forced a smile, her instincts screaming at her to tread carefully. "Yes, It's certainly... impressive," she replied cautiously.

The staff member's smile widened, his eyes gleaming with a hunger that made Lisa's blood run cold. "I'm glad to hear that," he said smoothly, taking a step closer to her. "Perhaps I could show you some of the palace's more... hidden treasures."

Lisa's heart pounded in her chest as she took a step back, her instincts screaming at her to flee.

She knew she was in danger, and somehow she knew only the fact that Jennie was mentioned made the man stay in his place , that this man had other intentions.

"I think I'll pass," Lisa said, her voice trembling with fear. "I have... other plans."

The staff member's smile faltered for a moment, replaced by a flicker of irritation. But then he composed himself, his mask of politeness slipping back into place.

"Of course, miss," he said smoothly, his eyes glinting with malice. "Perhaps another time, then."

With a final, predatory glance, the staff member turned and disappeared down the corridor, leaving Lisa shaken and alone once more.

She knew she had narrowly escaped a dangerous encounter, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that she was still being watched, that danger lurked around every corner of the palace.

Lisa faced the reality of the situation Jennie told her about. going through these halls without being known as a guest of lady Kim was indeed suicide.

finally, she saw a familiar face. "Oh, park, please save me from this place it's like a maze, and i keep running into people who i think are trying to either kill me or have me sold like a slave."

"Who did you run into miss?" Park said, stopping herself from laughing. she found Lisa's humor funny. she hoped Miss Kim won't treat her like those others she had brought to the palace before.

Park's expression softened slightly as she listened to Lisa's complaint, but she maintained her professional demeanor. "I understand, miss. The palace can be quite labyrinthine for newcomers. Rest assured, I'll make sure you don't encounter any further... unwelcome surprises."
