it was now Lisa's habit of walking through those walls. she actually found a bench in the back of the palace that no one seemed to care about its existence, just like me. Lisa thought to herself. she wanted to believe that Rose might care, but her thoughts were filled with something else.
"i hate that selfish, self-centered miss fell out of elephant Jennie." Lisa said aloud, not caring a bit if anyone heard her. she was so furious it hurt. it hurt to hate the only reason she was here.
Money she reminded herself, but was it really worth it. being degraded by literally anyone here, anyone looked at her as if she was a waste of time for Kim. she was sure even the flies there thought of her like that.
the black haired girl's attention was caught by a sound. a black furry fluffy cat with green eyes. it looked like the cat was watching Lisa since she walked into the garden.
Lisa's mood immediately lightened up. it reminded her of her Nick. he was black like this cat, and his eyes were green as well. Lisa felt a sharp pain in her heart when she remembered his cat's death. her beloved.
"What is your name, little one?" Lisa smiled weakly. the smile fighting its way to reach the eyes.
meow..
It was as if the cat could see into her soul, could sense the turmoil that raged within her heart. Lisa rose up and got a little closer. penitently, carefully trying to per the fluffy creature.
"Aren't you a pretty girl? I'm going to eat something, do you wanna come with me?"
the cat started moving towards Lisa's hand, letting herself be pet. then it sat up and looked up at Lisa and tilted its head, its emerald eyes shimmering with intelligence as if it understood every word Lisa spoke..
meow..
at first, Lisa wanted to lift and carry the cat, but something in her was telling her that the cat would probably follow Lisa itself. Lisa started walking back to the palace, and as she expected the cat to follow her, Lisa felt like the chosen one.
As Lisa entered the palace, she made her way to the kitchen, the fluffy black cat following closely behind her. She felt a sense of companionship in the feline's presence.
Reaching the kitchen, Lisa found a small plate of leftovers from the previous night's feast. She didn't mind the cold food; it was better than nothing.
The kitchen staff only cooked for the correct dinning hour or in Jennie's direct order, Park too maybe. She placed a portion on a saucer and set it down on the floor for the cat, who eagerly began to nibble at the morsels.
"You must be hungry too," Lisa murmured softly, a small smile tugging at her lips as she watched the cat eat. It was a simple gesture, but one that warmed her heart.
As she ate her own meal, Lisa couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. Glancing around the room, she noticed a few servants giving her curious glances, but she paid them no mind. It wasn't unusual for her to be the subject of gossip among the staff.
"Girls, i have received direct orders from Madam Kim for the east side. she has asked for some special dishes. get started, the ingredients will be here now." it was after the woman was done talking that she noticed Lisa was silently eating and also a cat??? in the kitchen??
