Third person pov.
"Will you be my wife Lisa?"
Lisa took a step back. Her eyes were even more wide open, and her jaw was on the floor. Jennie never gets predictable.
"Whahh ..Hwa ..oja.." Lisa tried her best to word out her thoughts.
"I love that reaction. It's like you are actually going to say yes." Jennie said. She was still smiling. The kinds that would reach the eyes.
"I don't think you.... you know, I mean.. I can't..." Lisa finally made a full sentence. She had no idea why Jennie would so randomly say such a thing.
"That was good. Now, smile a bit more for the cameras." Jennie whispered. She then started getting closer to Lisa.
"Cameras??" Lisa asked, dumbfounded.
"Yes, my cute little raven. It's been a while since I noticed them inside my palace and wanted to throw a show for them." Jennie explained proudly.
Her offer wasn't real. Her smile wasn't, the kindness she was showing, they were all part of her decorated show.
"Well, at least it's nice to know you have the capacity of laughing." Lisa remarked bittersweet. What was she really expecting? Again, Jennie let out a very realistic laugh. It was strange to see her like this.
"I guess I do have a sense of humor. Though not enough To be a Clown." Jennie finally reached Lisa.
"You're doing a perfect job. Keep acting like I've actually wanted to marry you. I very much believe that whoever is watching would literally be the happiest." Jennie said. She reached for Lisa's hands.
She took them and squeezed them lightly. Her look would win an Oscar. The way she was gazing at Lisa was as if she was really in love. It was dangerous because of how she felt even a bit. It'd be like playing with fire.
"I thought no one would dare to do such a thing.?" Lisa asked. Keeping the smile now that she knew she had to play. They exchanged loving stares before Jennie held Lisa.
"I could think of a few who are looking for death. They will believe this, I know for sure." The confidence in Jennie's words, The smirk on her lips, was proof she was gonna win whatever.
"Who are they ?" Lisa asked. She was now frustrated. She wanted so badly to know what was happening, and the other half of her frustration was Jennie.
She draws an X on Jennie's face in her mind, the red kind.
"The marriage was not my offer, Lisa. You are unknowingly the most important part of their plans." Jennie said. She then kissed Lisa's forehead and looked at her again.
"I want you to be my good girl one last time and play the bait for my plan. And after that, no more deals between us. You'll be as free as an infant and with ten million." Jennie finished her talk.
She held Lisa's face in her both hands. Softly crassing her cheeks. She was beautiful. Jennie admitted to herself.
"You have beautiful eyes, Lisa, and plus that gorgeous smile of yours. You are so familiar, and I have no idea why." Jennie cursed herself for saying these out loud.
What had gotten into her. It was so out of character for her to say that or maybe she was carried away by the excitement she felt for the future.
Lisa was caught up. Jennie astonished her with every second that went by. Then Lisa suddenly thought of her mother, how long has it been since she heard of her. Was she doing alright?
There would be an end for this nightmare. Lisa wanted to believe the words Jennie spoke. She wanted to trust that Jennie would win this battle. She wanted to just be carefree again. She'd learned her lesson.
