Practice game First Years vs Second Years

It was a rainy day and we were all at practice.

"Alright! Today we'll be having a practice game between the second years and the first years. Let's see what you got." Riko said. "Yes ma'am!" everyone said. I was walking out with everyone when Riko called me.

"Hold on a second Pento." I turned around to look at her. "You're not playing this game." "What!? Why not!?" I yelled. "This game is a match to see what the first years are made of. Technically you're not on the team, so you're sitting out this one."

"Come on coach, let me play! I'm ready to go." "Once we start official practice, then you can get on the court. But for now, just take it easy." I growled in frustration but gave in. I sat on the bench and watched the practice game.

I watched as Kagami did everything by himself and wasn't listening to the advice I gave him. I also saw Kuroko doing what he normally does. When he fakes being horrible at everything, then shows his true colors and actually does his amazing passes. Then at the end there was some teamwork with Kagami and it made me smile when I saw it.

Last Night

Yesterday, me, Kagami, and Kuroko was talking about how Kagami would compare the Generation of Miracles, and how Kuroko was going to become his light, and how me and Kuroko were gonna take down the Generation of Miracles with our style of Basketball, AND how Kuroko is gonna make Kagami the best in Japan.

Earlier Today

Riko made everyone confess their goals to the whole school during the morning announcements on the roof. But Kuroko didn't get to say his goals because the principal came and caught us. We got a huge scolding from him.

Kuroko didn't get the chance to say his goals to the school, so the next day, he wrote in the dirt, "We will be the best in Japan."

Present time

The boys were playing against each other again today. I tried going out today but Riko stopped me again. "Not today either Pento." I growled. "Come on! I wanna get out there!" "I told you, once we start official practice you'll be able to play! You're still the manager, so go get everyone some towels would ya." I pouted, and gave in.

"Where are they?" I asked angrily. "In the storage room. You'll have to go to the other gym for those." Riko said. I walked out and went to get the towels. It took a while to get them since the storage room was so junky.

I got back to the gym where everyone was playing. There was a group of girls gathered outside that I had to shove past. "Jeez Riko. When are you all ever gonna clean out that storage room? I couldn't find anything in there." I said. I walked over to Riko and gave her the towels.

I turned around to see a familiar face with yellow hair. I stared at him in shock for a second, and he stared at me. Then I broke the silence. "Kise?" "PENTOCCHI!!!" Kise ran over to me and tried to hug me but I dodged him, and he fell on the floor face first.

"WHY'D YOU DODGE ME!?" Kise yelled getting back up. "Jeez, don't be so loud. You already know how I feel about hugs." "You two know each other?" Everyone asked. "Yeah. Me and Pentocchi go way back."

I sighed. "So anyway. Is that why there was a swarm of girls waiting outside the gym? Were they looking for you Kise?" I asked. "Yeah. As you already know, I have a thing for the girls, especially since I picked up my modeling gig." Kise said, posing.

"How'd you ever become a model?...You're not hot at all." I said with a straight face. "So mean!" Kise said crying. Then suddenly a ball got thrown at Kise. We all looked over to see Kagami. "Kagami?!" Everyone said. I looked at him shocked, and smiled slightly.

"Sorry to crash your reunion, but don't tell me you only came to say hi. I wanna see what you're made of. Let's go one on one, pretty boy." Kagami said.

Kise thought about it for a second. "Alright let's do it. To thank you for that display." Kise said. Kagami smirked. "Bring it on."

—-----

Kagami got his butt kicked, as I expected. But Kise used a move that Kagami had just used on someone else just a few moments ago. I was surprised because I didn't recognize him at all. It was like he was a whole different person. He'd improved so much in such little time.

"Well, after that disappointing display I can't just leave here without saying anything." Kise said, scratching the back of his head. Kise walked over to me and Kuroko. "Come play for my team Kurokocchi. It'll be a waste of your talent to stay here."

Everyone gasped. "Now hold on a second! You can't just try to take Kuroko like that!" I yelled. "Pentocchi, you should come too. After all, you did help me become stronger when we were at Teiko. Let's all play on the same court again."

I calmed down and sighed. I was acting a bit out of character. "Yeah, no thanks. Sorry, but I already like this team." Everyone gasped. Kise sighed. "What about you Kurokocchi?" "I appreciate the offer, but I respectfully decline." Kuroko bowed. "That doesn't make a lick of sense. Winning was everything. Your thinking has seriously changed." Kise said.

"It's your thinking that's changed Kise." I said.

"Besides that, I made a promise to Kagami. I told him that I would make him the best in Japan and we'd beat the Generation of Miracles. I intend to keep that promise." Kuroko said. "That's right...and I intend to help make that happen." I said, walking over to Kagami. "Joking around about stuff like that. You really have changed Kurokocchi." Kise said.

Then we heard Kagami laughing from behind Kise.

Kagami POV

'The Generation of Miracles really are something. And there are four more that are stronger than HIM. I can't help but smile.' "What do you think you're doing man. Don't go stealing all my lines." I said. "I'm still not very good at this joking thing, so you should know, we're serious."
