Without the resounding gunfire erupting in sporadic waves through the death-filled forest, silence would reign supreme. It is not just words that evade Frisk, but also thoughts. Their brain is a spiraling mess, filled with questions and impossible answers. The other Frisk takes in their double's bewilderment with visible delight.

Looking at them is like looking in a mirror, except the reflection is a being of its own.

And it's been killing all their friends.

Both teenagers even seem to be the same age, making their appearance nearly indistinguishable if it weren't for their heavily contrasting clothing.

"You look confused," the grinning Frisk states.

The wounded teen wants to respond, but the words form and die on their tongue. Seeing their own face plastered onto the body of someone who has caused so much pain makes their skin shiver and crawl. In this moment, the human's sympathy for Gaster is heightened. The last thing he witnessed before death was two of the closest people he ever knew slaughtered by his own hand.

"How...?" Frisk utters.

Like before, the question takes the armored child by surprise.

"Wait, wait wait," they smirk. "Did you honestly think you were the only player in this game?"

A surge of anger wells inside of Frisk.

Game? Is this all a joke to them?!

"I don't know what you saw across your little field trip through worlds, but surely you've realized the obvious," the still-grinning Frisk says. "How boundless true totality really is."

They brandish their extensive blade.

"Every timeline has a God. That would be us."

"I just want to go home!" Frisk yells.

Their doppelganger frowns.

"That's what I haven't figured out yet. Why? Are you really that bored? Don't get me wrong, I didn't mean to rain on your parade and ruin whatever... post-Pacifist 'roleplay' you're into. But seeing as how that ship has sailed, I assume you wouldn't mind if I grind the rest?"

Hearing this makes Frisk feel an emotion they can't quite describe. An unstable fusion between shock, anger, and unease. How could someone be so casual whilst discussing the potential murder of innocent people? More importantly, how can THEY be so casual? Regardless of the double's nature, seeing themselves act so ruthless makes the teenager's stomach churn.

Roleplay? Grind? Do they understand that any of this is real?

"So... I'll take your silence as a yes?" the doppelganger says.

"What? No!" Frisk denies, coming back to reality. "You killed my friend! And you tried to kill my family!"

The other Frisk tilts their head.

"Friend?" they repeat. "Family? Either you're really committed to this bit, which I applaud you for, or you've been playing for far too long."

"What are you talking about?" Frisk demands.

"These monsters, they're not your friends. They're toys. Obstacles to be overcome. They are worth their weight in Gold, but nothing else... well, aside from EXP. But that's a given."

For a second, it feels as though Frisk's body has lost all mass. Before, they could barely move. But that was before. Now they stand opposite to their intrigued reflection. Rage is what they have to thank for their newfound strength. Like an ocean current, it washes over the shore and recedes, pulling in everything caught in its undisputed tide. Trapped inside is caution, which becomes lost to a sea of anger.
