Later that night she woke up to the sound of things falling down in the kitchen which scared her. She cautiously moved towards her bedroom door and listened and to her greatest fear someone was in the house. She looked at the time and it was exactly 12:00 a.m. which even made it worse; she was alone in the big house which was located in the middle of nowhere at the middle of the night and someone had broken into the house. Who was going to help her now?

She took deep breath to calm herself down so she could think of what to do. Was she to call her mom for help? her mom didn't even know where she was so calling her mom wasn't an option. What about Andrew? she could call Andrew so he could send his men to help her but considering how long it took them to bring her to the house there was no way they could get there in time to help her so that too wasn't an option. She had to save herself because she was on her own this time.

She started thinking of what to do and as she was thinking she sighted the bottle of red wine which she had previously drank from "Yes!" She thought to herself.

"I can use that as a weapon to protect myself hopefully." She thought to herself as she hurriedly picked up the bottle which still had some wine left in it and quietly opened the door and tiptoed to see if she could find the person and attack. Suddenly she heard the footsteps again this time louder it seemed like the person was heading towards her so she hid behind a wall waiting for the person to pass so she could strike his head with the bottle. With each footstep she heard, her heartbeat become faster her heart pounded violently in her chest as she thought of everything that could go wrong; if she failed to make the person unconscious then the person was surely going to kill her. To her delight the person passed her without noticing her but then he stopped right in front of her with his back turned. She took it as a chance to strike but then the person who turned out to be a man caught the bottle before it could hit his head.

"That's not very nice." He said with a deep but calming voice but at that point Mary was too scared to be calm

"I'm dead, I'm dead, I'm dead." She screamed in her mind before she fainted

"Whoa! I didn't know I scared you this much pretty one." The man said as he caught her before her body could touch the ground.

He carried her and laid her down on one of the couch as he admired her beauty. He held her soft delicate hand and planted a kiss on it then he gently caressed her dark curly hair as he inhaled the sweet scent of lavender from her hair. Then he cupped her face with his hands and smiled "My wife is really beautiful." He whispered feeling proud. Another thing caught his attention.....her beautiful curves but he decided to keep his hands to himself because even though he didn't interact with humans very much he was aware that it was unacceptable to touch a lady without her consent. Yes she was his wife but she didn't know him yet and she was forced to get married to him so he was sure that it would offend her so he just sat there and continued admiring her till she became conscious again. Minutes later Mary woke up to find a pair of almond shaped silver colored eyes staring at her which frightened her

"Wh-who are you?" She asked quickly jerking up

"Don't be afraid I won't harm you" The brown skinned gentleman said in an attempt to make her calm

"That's so funny considering the fact that you broke into my house telling me not to be afraid. If you haven't come to harm me what then have you come to do?" Mary asked

"I am Liam, your husband, the one you're married to" He replied smiling proudly

"What! Liam like the imaginary Liam?"

"Yeah Liam but not imaginary. I'm sorry I wasn't present at our wedding the reason being that a curse was placed on me"

"So you really exist? How come nobody has ever seen you?"
