The Beta(Murder Drones)

Chapter 1: Who is She?

It had been a couple days, maybe even a month since I found the tent. I settled in pretty well.

Until...

It was the middle of the night when I heard talking interrupt my sleeping. I sat up, rubbing my visor(eyes).

I carefully unzipped the tent, making sure not to make too much noise.

I peaked through a small opening to see who was out there. I saw nothing so I unzipped the rest of the tent and slowly crawled out, trying to get a better look at whoever is out here.

I stood up slowly and snuck around, looking around the mall.

I didn't see anything in the mall so I looked out a window, it was kind of hard to see through because it had been frozen over and was covered in ice and frost, but I still managed to see out of it.

I looked around outside, and I saw... N? I remember him from being a maid in the mansion.

But... He's with someone. I don't recognize her.

She's short with purple hair and neon purple eyes, with a black jacket and boots. She also has a black beanie with a pompom on the end of it.

The pompom catches my attention, but I'd rather not go anywhere near her considering I don't know who she is. Or what she is.

I observe her, but she looks over at the window, I instantly duck down in fear, but she seems to have already seen me since I can hear her talk about seeing something in the window.

I cover my mouth as to not make a sound, but I hear them come in.

I go up into a corner and cling on with my wires and make myself into a ball with them.

I hear them walk in, I keep still and tighten my wires, but make a small gap so I can watch them.

I watch the short one shine a light, they notice my tent and investigate, but don't find anything other than my blankets and pillows.

I watch the purple one shine the light at the store across from the camping and hunting store where my tent is, and up to me.

I instantly let out a squeak as I tighten my wires even more and close the gap I was watching them through.

Once they noticed me they went silent. I could hear them back up slightly and some beeping from their eyes, but not any words spoken.

It stayed silent for a moment before I felt a poke on my wires. I flinched before calming down. I opened another gap in my wires to look at what poked me.

It was a broom, and it seemed that neither of them knew what to do. I closed the gap again and taking a deep breath.

I slowly undid my wires and came down, looking at them.

Once I was down from the corner, I looked at both of them, and tried to speak.

"I-..." Was all I could get out before stuttering the same sound over and over again.

As I stuttered, I watched them look at each other and then back at me before the short one cut me off.

"Who are you?" The short one asks.

I think for a second before taking off my hair clip saying; "Beta S" and handing it to her.

She looks at it for a second and looks up at me. "S?" She asks, confirming my name.

I nod and take back my hair clip and put it back. I look back with a small smile and wave at her.

I look back at N and notice how tall he's become and compare the size differences between him then and now.

N chuckles at my reaction to his height and rubs the back of his head.

I look back at the short one and bring up text on my visor. "Who are you?" My visor says as I point at her.

"Uzi." She says, taking a small step back when I point at her.

I smile at her name. "I like your name! By the way... What are you?" I ask with my visor.

"I'm... A worker drone." Uzi says as she becomes hesitant to tell me what she is.

I become confused at what a worker drone is, but decide not to question it and just go along with it.

I shrug it off and become slightly excited to get to know Uzi better.
