Chapter 7: First Paycheck

(I AM BACK! Sorry, I took a little bit of a hiatus/break, but I'm back! you also wanted to give you some information since my writing style has kind of changed, and I wanted to help the reader(you) to know how characters are saying things so...

 I woke up, I was a little tired but didn't feel too bad.

I checked the date... It was the weekend!

I smiled at Uzi and noticed that she was on the phone. She looked to me and handed the phone to me, exiting the pod once I took it from her.

Thankfully no one else was in the pod at the time.

"こんにちは?...(Hello?...)" I whisper into the phone, and gulp.

"S! I have your paycheck if you want it, I give out paychecks every Saturday." Kahn said on the other end of the phone.

I became excited and beamed with happiness. "おお！すぐに行きます！(Oh! I'll be there right away!)" I say, hanging up the phone and rushing out the pod, slipping the phone back into Uzi's hand as I rush past her.

Once I get to the colony, I knock on the door, to which Kahn greets me this time.

"Oh, there you are S! [You got here fast], here's your check." He says as he hands me the check.

I snatch it away from him and hug him.

He seems a bit puzzled by the hug, but accepts it and says bye to me, closing the door as I wave at him.

I get back to the pod and see that N and V are up now and Uzi is still there.

I wave at them and show them my paycheck.

N and Uzi give me some thumbs up and V just rolls her eyes.

I put it into my pencil case(which might as well be a purse now) and take a pencil from it, sitting down with my notebook and writing in my diary/journal again.

"Dear diary,

Today, I got my first paycheck! I'm really happy and hope to get more in the future!

Also, I still can't get Uzi out of my head! I keep blushing around her and always feel my heart pound in my chest whenever I see her smile!

I THINK I'M IN LOVE!

Anyways, I am so excited! I can't wait to be paid! Especially because now I could help Uzi buy groceries and we could become closer... 

Anywho, I don't really have any other updates so, bye diary!" I write down in my notebook as I add another simple stick figure drawing of me holding an envelope with money inside and holding plastic bags with bread and milk in them.

I smile at my drawing and close my notebook, putting it away and looking back to my friends, observing them as I have nothing else better to do.

I eventually get up and go for another walk, not really looking up from my notebook until I get out of the spire, even once I'm done writing.

I put the notebook back and use my tentacles to climb a building.

When I'm on the roof, I look back and admire the stars, until eventually I hear someone open the door, I whip around,
