Third POV
Ah, after that whole chaotic little arcade date and dinner, (Y/N) was ready to get home and go to bed. She still hadn't heard from Arajin, but she supposed it had only been about an hour and a half since he had decided to disappear to who knows where. Speaking of the black haired boy, that incident from lunch earlier that day was still fresh in her mind. Like, now it was to the point where it was bugging her a little bit.
"Hey, was it just me, or did Arajin seem to completely ignore Mata earlier?" The dual color haired girl asked Anu, whose little cat form had been sitting on her shoulder as she walked.
The little cat genie then flew off her shoulder before transforming back into his usual human-sized form and floating beside the girl while putting a hand on his chin, trying to think back to lunch that day. He might've been camping out in her necklace, but he still had view of the outside world, and he most certainly could hear things too. But he had seen the events of what had happened between her two childhood friends, and he did think it was a little weird, but there could also be a logical explanation too.
"I mean, he could've not heard him," Anu replied, shrugging a little in the process.
That didn't seem to convince her, however. That much was clear by her arched eyebrowed expression that she was giving her deity friend.
"With how loud he was being? And we were the only ones in the court yard," (Y/N) pointed out.
Like, Arajin wasn't too far away to the point where he wouldn't be able to hear Matakara. Plus, where he was seated on the roof had a clear view of the court yard. Not only that, but the (h/c) and white haired girl saw him look down in their direction. So there was just a bunch of red flags that were screaming out to her, personally. And Anu had to agree too.
"True. He didn't mentioned bumping into him again, now that I think about it," the light blue genie thought back to the interaction the two of them had had while they were making their way to the stone store.
Like, hers and Arajin's conversation were how they normally were, making small talk while the boy sort of gushed about this girl he had fallen head over heels for. Nothing about Matakara, nothing about bumping into him, nada. It was a little weird, if they both did say so, themselves. Because as far as (Y/N) knew, specifically, the black haired boy and tall ginger were fine when she had left all those years again.
"I don't wanna to push him to tell me what's going on, but I feel like something's off. And now we have the whole Mahoro thing to deal with," the night owl muttered a little bit as she and Anu approached the front door to her home, while she dug through her bag to find her keys.
"Yeah, he's gonna get his ass kicked," the light blue cat genie chuckled a little bit as he crossed his arms while his human friend shot him a very unimpressed look as she unlocked her front door and opened it up.
