Third POV

"Wow, I'm surprised you want to eat lunch with me for once. What, is Mahoro not here?" (Y/N) asked her dear childhood friend as the two of them sat down against the railing on another area of the roof, eating their lunches with the free time that they had for once considering all the excitement that had happened in the past couple of days.

Honestly, it totally caught the night owl off guard when he suddenly asked her if she wanted to spend lunch together. Because, now that she thought about it, the two of them hadn't had lunch together at all since there was the very obvious reason that he had been too flippin' busy chasing a girl that wanted nothing to do with him. Not that Arajin was gonna be getting the hint any time soon. He wasn't gonna be sugarcoating anything.

"Yep," the black haired boy answered her question bluntly as he took another bite of the cute looking lunch made by his lovely mother that he had kind of destroyed at this point.

Yep, she saw that coming. Made that grin on her face disappear real quick, but what she expect at this point?

"God, you're awful," the (h/c) and white haired girl spat back at him, not showing the black haired boy any mercy either.

Of course, his reaction was way more exaggerated than hers was. He damn near choked on his food as he snapped his head right toward the girl sitting beside him, who was still eating contently and not really caring about showing any sort of mercy.

"What!? She wants me to take over Siguma, so I think she thinks I've got what it takes," Arajin claimed, remembering what Mahoro had told him the night before when he returned home after that whole fiasco with Siguma.

Slapping him in the face, telling him to take over for her brother, like, how could he say 'no' to that? She even made that cute heart that went straight through him. It almost made his own heart burst out of his chest. The pink and black haired girl obviously thought that he had what it took to take over for the green and black haired brother of the girl he liked. He so has what it takes...

"Takes to get killed," the night owl commented mercilessly, taking another bite of the dumpling she was chowing down on.

"Hey!"

God, why did she always have to make it sound so bad or even just make him sound bad? It was getting kind of annoying in Arajin's mind. The glare on his face definitely gave that away. However, in the girl's mind, she wasn't so much as being mean, she was just giving it to him like it was, there was nothing mean about it. Plus, (Y/N) honestly didn't look like she cared all that much that her dear childhood friend was so sending her the best death glare he could muster up, which was pretty weak.

"Just keepin' it real like I always do," the night owl told him as she turned to look back at him, not caring at all if he was pissed off.

That's just how she was, she would give out tough love whenever it was needed. And it was definitely needed right now given the fact that Arajin's head was getting way too big for his body. She needed him to tone it down a little bit, so she just said what came to her mind. And the black haired boy knew this about her too, which was why he simply rolled his eyes while shaking his head, turning back toward his lunch to continue eating.
