Third POV
Once Matakara had left her home, (Y/N) had closed her door and ran her hand through her bi-colored hair, letting out a heavy sigh through her nose. Man, this thing was escalating to a point that it didn't need to escalate to. Both Siguma and Minato Kai were falling right into the hands of the puppet master behind this whole thing, someone that the night owl believed to be a member of the NG Boys. That's the only plausible thing that she could come with.
Right as she was standing there with her back to the door, looking like she was still contemplating how she could possibly stop this whole thing from happening, the night owl's panther necklace began glowing in the emerald eyes and a teal fog coming out of it. Anu quickly appeared in front of his human companion, a look of concern apparent on his face. He had heard the whole thing that she and Matakara had been talking about, and it was definitely something that he paid attention to. Because this was how the last fight she had stopped started.
"Bina, are you sure you're gonna be okay to try and stop this?" The cat deity asked her, not at all trying to hide the fact that he was worried.
He could see it in her face, he could see that she was internally struggling with this whole thing. It was bringing her back to the past, the past that she wanted to forget. However, the dual color haired girl wasn't about to let history repeat itself, meaning she was going to put her own issues on the back burner for now. She soon looked back at Anu, her (e/c) eyes seeming to harden slightly, like she was mentally preparing herself to shut all of those feelings and fears off.
"I have to be. I'm not gonna let this war end like it did the last time I had to deal with this," the (h/c) and white haired girl declared before taking a couple of steps past her cat deity friend before his large, clawed hand placed itself on her uninjured shoulder to keep her from getting out of listening to his concerns.
Anu wasn't going to let her get out of it this time like she had last time before that guy came after her with the knife and everything.
"Yeah, but-"
He was soon cut off when the night owl turned around to look at him, placing her red nailed hand onto his much larger one before she began speaking.
"Anu, I promise you, I will be just fine. I mean, worst comes to worst, I might have to use you a little bit to prove my point," she tried her best to assure him, giving him the best side grin that she could muster up with how tired she was.
She had to be fine. Because someone was gonna end up dead if she wasn't. She could be the level-headed one that could get people to listen real fast when she wanted to make a statement. (Y/N) had done it before, she could do it again. Because she was Honki City's Night Beast, and ain't no one gonna be messing with those she cared about.
Anubis didn't doubt that she could stop a war from happening, however, it was what she could be exposing herself to if she went into this with the same mindset that she had last time that put that cat genie on edge. Despite how she had claimed that he hadn't been there the last time something big like this had happened, he still saw it and sensed it. Unlike how Arajin and Senya were when it came to their whole dealio in him using that gun to awaken the big pink genie, the bond between Anu and the night owl was a little more complicated than that.
