Each step felt like an eternity with Masha clinging around my arm.

Soft

Ignoring my thoughts, I persevered through the internal struggle towards her house located in a crowded neighborhood.

Everything seemed, oddly different. Almost fake one could say.

"Uh, Masha?" I mutter.

"Y-yeah?"

"... could you... perhaps... why are you holding onto my arm?"

My social skills as good as a chicken have failed me once again as I struggle to converse with her.

"Sorry, it's just that I'm still shaken up from earlier."

Masha stated her reason for the uncomfortableness. Using my arm as a source reassurance and protection.

It was natural for her after all.

"I see, it's no problem after what you've been through" I respond calmly, not letting my composure slip again.

Getting ever closer, we eventually arrive at Masha's house near a corner.

A two story building built with yellow walls constructed from concrete.

An awning located above the first floor window gives it a Victorian feeling with plants growing on the framing.

"I should go inside, to explain the situation" I say.

"No! I'll explain everything to her, just please don't let her see me with a boy!"

Masha responds hastily, not wanting her guardian to see me.

Wait, did my existence just get insulted?

"Oh, I see. I will be going now."

Turning away, I walk towards the train station close by with the hurried shut of a door behind my back.

The wind carrying my hair strongly as I recall past events.

"Koenji Rokusuke huh."

The Koenji collaboration was the party my new father wanted to me to meet. I had met the heir to the organization who, by definition, is a narcissist.

But his confidence is supported by his abilities.

Having strong physical strength, impressive academics skills, and much other skills one could only dream of.

I had gotten to know him quite well during a feast where he had talked about himself the entire time.

But one thing is for certain, he wants to defeat me, the Masterpiece of the Whiteroom, to show off his perfect existence.

A scheduled block was designated for tomorrow in an academic test and fight.

"Ugh, it seems I can't have a normal life, can I?"

No matter what, I have gotten into more than what I wanted. It was almost sad.

My dreams of a peaceful life have seemed to be ruined but even a week in.

"Koenji can sing pretty good though..."

"AYANOKOJI-KUN! WHERE HAVE YOU'VE BEEN!?"

Arriving home, I had found my worried new sister yelling at me.

I didn't do anything wrong which is what confused me, had my mother told her something different?

"I was out... picking apples."
