Leaving for school, I had a quick chat with Hirata who I have been hanging out with more frequently, along with a person named Sudo.

I wonder, is this how people make friends?

Teaching someone basic human concepts who has never been familiar with them may seem easy, but the individual themself will struggle to understand, and possibly break down resulting in despair. Of course that is only in extreme cases; but not impossible.

Arriving at the classroom, many of my classmates came to greet me.

"What's up, Ayanokoji-kun? Have you heard of the beach day we've been planning for spring break?" A classmate called out to me in the bright, cheery classroom.

I haven't heard about a 'beach day,' most likely because nobody talks to me over phone.

It is a sad reality that some have to face.

"No, I haven't Hiragata"

"Well, come on man! We gotta hang out more with the others! Say, how about after school we go hang out around the city?" Hiragata asked me.

"Sorry Hiragata, but I have plans with Hirata and Sudo" I responded.

We coincidentally had the same plan, but they just wanted us three, so I must honor that.

Ring!

"Now now, students, let's move out of the doorway and return to our seats" sensei said.

"Yeah yeah Sensei."

Classes were as boring as ever. The only interesting part was when we had class assignments which required us to work with others.

That at least gave me something to actually do.

Ring!

The bell, signaling lunch period, rang and everyone went to start eating.

As I returned to my seat, the door slid wide open revealing a girl with black hair.

"Ayanokoji-kun, I made lunch for us, let's go outside to eat" Horikita said while holding two bento boxes.

"Sure thing, I guess" I respond surprised. I didn't even know she was preparing a bento for me. I thought it was for one of her friends.

"My man! You got a hot girl under your belt!" One of my classmates said beside me.

Even though I don't know entirely what that means, I had a hint.

"Sigh, she's my sister."

"OH SHI-"

Leaving him behind, I went to Horikita's side and we started heading towards the empty campus site where trees blossomed with wooden benches underneath to enjoy the views.

We found a seat that overlooked the hills to relax with a tree right over us.

As she sat, I took a seat beside her with the bento meals between us.

She unwrapped the cloth revealing fully the two dark purple boxes and chopsticks.
