A professional piano player, with the skill and technique fine tuned to the tiniest detail. This was drilled into us during our time at the Whiteroom. We were taught musical instruments as it was beneficial for us. I learned Piano as a chordophone, the violin for a string instrument, percussion instruments were split as it could be applied to many, the Alto Saxophone for a woodwind instrument, and the trumpet as a brass instrument.
(I'm a trumpet player myself, not a professional as I am a high schooler still, but I'm the best of my year, even surpassing some upperclassmen, and possibly beating almost everyone in range so I know what I'm writing about, perhaps 90%)
These instruments do have something to do with today, as I am buying a trumpet today.
I had a budget of 77,000 Yen (about $5000 US) to buy what I need.
I personally wanted to get a high quality trumpet for a better experience. And some other equipment.
I visited the shop, finding everything I needed. A customized trumpet in a way. But it would take a couple of months for my specialized instrument to arrive.
I exited the store, heading to the Horikita's house today.
It took 10 minutes to travel back, where Suzune greeted me.
"You're late, idiot."
"First of all, I'm not even at the house yet. And second of all, what are you doing here?"
Suzune, for some reason, is out shopping.
"No reason!""... anyways, let's go. I'm quite hungry."
We travelled back home together, like a family as she held onto my arm like a little sister.
"Say, did you get acquainted with any of our classmates?" Suzune asked me.
"Hmm. Me, Ken, and Yousuke have been hanging out more frequently."
That was the biggest change so far. We'd plan to go hang out tomorrow around the park to play some frisbee, but other than that, it's been the same.
"I see. Come on, let's stop by the book store. The store has started selling To Kill a Mockingbird in Japanese. From what I've heard, it highlights the inequality of white and black Americans in their country. Makima-Sensei recommended it to me."
I do remember reading that book, maybe when I was in the holding facility when I had nothing to do? Hmm, sounds about right.
Entering the store front, we quickly made the purchase before finally we arrived home. A sweet aroma drifted from the kitchen that signaled to me 'Alfredo sauce and pasta.' It already made my stomach rumble.
