A/N: I haven't watched Avengers in a while. I said this in the first chapter, but the timeline and many events will not match the movies. This is one of those times. Sorry if it doesn't really make sense. I did try, I promise.

I watched from where I was cuffed to a metal pole at the top of a building. An agent named Agent Lawerence was beside me, preparing his gun. I looked up at him and then into his eyes. That were blue. A very piercing cobalt blue. His eyes are brown. Now that I thought about it, everyone Loki had used the scepter on had these eyes. Loki's eyes looked like this. But only sometimes. Not when he was looking at me.

The scepter is controlling Loki! And someone must be controlling the scepter.

"Lawerence!" I shouted over the chaos and destruction. "Lawerence! Let me go! I need to talk to Loki!"

"Really? That's your tactic? I thought you were smarter than this, Y/N," He said as he turned away from me.

I can't believe I'm about to do this.

I grabbed the MCP part of my thumb and snapped, dislocating it. I hissed in pain before slipping my hand out of the handcuff. I did the same with my other thumb before putting them back.

My hand hurts!

I grabbed a piece of metal from the ground and lifted it high above my head.

"Sorry about this Lawerence," I said, slamming over his head before he could turn around. He fell to the ground, unconscious. I bit my lip to keep from smiling. I had to admit, I enjoyed that a little bit. I never liked Lawerence.

I ran to the stairs and quickly ran out into the street.

Chaos. Pure chaos. Everything was on fire. People were running every which way. Screaming. So much screaming.

I ignored it all, running to the Stark Tower.

As soon as I got up to the top floor, I saw Loki holding Dad by the face. He was nearly two feet off the ground. I watched in horror as Loki threw him out the window.

"DAD!!!" I screamed, running forward. Loki whipped towards me, his eyes widening when they saw me.

"Y/N?" He asked, his voice barely audible.

"Loki! I-I-Why?!" I asked, close to tears.

"I-I don't know anymore," He said, looking down.

"That's because this isn't you!" He looked up at me. "The scepter is controlling you! The real you is kind! The real you just wants to help people but doesn't know how!"

"Oh really? And how do you know the real me?"

"Because I saw him! When you were taking care of me!"

"That wasn't the real me!" His eyes were going back to the blue from the scepter. Uh oh.

"Yes, it was!"

"Then what makes you so sure?!" He asked angrily.

"Because I love you!" I shouted, surprising myself as much as him.

"What?" Loki asked, a smile spreading across his face.

"Yeah, what?!" Dad asked, appearing outside the broken window in his newest Iron Man suit. I sighed in relief but continued.

"I love you. I love the real you and I know I do because I know he loves me too. He took care of me when he didn't have to. He talked to me about important things instead of interrogating me or ignoring me altogether. He brought me my favorite book and genuinely good food. He asked me to be his queen if he won and told me all the ways he would make the world better. And they were good ways! Like he truly put thought into them! That's the real Loki! Not the one who kills people. Not the one who doesn't care. Not the one who wants to destroy the world. The one who is kind and caring and loving! The one I fell in love with!"

His smile was huge and so full of love. His eyes were back to their usual soft baby blue. Dad on the other hand. Well, let's just say I could feel the anger radiating off of him. But then Loki groaned in pain and his hand flew to his head. My eyes widened as I realized the scepter was taking over again.

"No!" I shouted, running towards him. Dad flew in front of me before I could.

"We will talk about this later," he said. I rolled my eyes. "But Romanoff needs your help to close the portal. She needs you to grab the Blue Cube of Destiny-"

"THE TESSERACT!" I heard everyone shout through his comms. I tried not to laugh.

"The tesseract" Dad continued. "Which will close the portal and hopefully save everyone." I sighed and looked back at Loki, who was on his knees in pain. "I'll deal with him after I take you up there." Dad picked me up, grabbed the scepter that was on the ground, and -to much of my protest- took me to the top of the tower where Natasha was struggling to close the portal. Dad set me on the ground and handed Natasha the scepter. Nat then used the scepter to pierce a hole in the protective shield the tesseract had put around itself. I watched as Dad flew back down and Nat made the hole bigger. It took us nearly fifteen minutes, but soon I could reach my hand through.

"We can close the wormhole!" Natasha said through the comms. Dad had given me some so I could now hear what was going on.

^DO IT^ Steve shouted.

^No, wait^ Dad said. ^I have a missile! We can launch it at the spaceship!^

"Hurry!" I said. I watched as Dad flew a huge missile up through the portal

^Y/N, I need to tell you something^

"What Dad?"

^I love you. Just remember that^

"Dad?! Dad, no! Don't give that stupid goodbye speech! You'll be fine!" Tears were streaming down my face as I spoke.

^I love you so much...^

His voice drifted off as he fell unconscious.

"NO!" I shouted. I could barely see through the tears as I looked into the sky for any sign of my dad.

"Y/N! We need to close this thing now!" Nat shouted. Through the tears, I reached my hand through the hole and grabbed onto the Tesseract. As I started to pull it out, it began to spark. I watched, eyes wide, as it exploded in my hands and everything went black.
