I opened my now-red eyes and looked around. It was still dark out and all the lights were out. But I didn't want to sleep. I couldn't, not after what Loki said to me. I stood up with a sigh and walked around the room. I saw a small door leading into what I assumed was a bathroom. But a bigger door was next to it.
This wasn't here before. I thought as I opened the door. I gasped as soon as I saw what was inside.
It was a library!
The walls were lined with bookshelves that must have been 12 ft. tall and full of books! There was a rolling ladder on each wall and a couple of beautiful and comfy-looking armchairs. There was a green rug with gold outlining and a couple of tables.
How did I not notice this before?! Did-Did Loki do this?
Suddenly, my hands began to glow a bright blue. My eyes widened as the scene around me shifted. Suddenly, I wasn't in the bedroom I was given. I was now in a white room with a golden magic barrier that you could clearly see through. I saw a desk, a beanbag chair, and a bed. On the bed, was the black-haired god himself.
Loki sat straight up when he saw me. His eyes were wide in shock. I laughed at his expression before it registered that I was in Loki's cell! How?!
"Y/N?" Loki asked, snapping me out of it. He slowly made his way over to me and rested his hands on my shoulders to study me. "How did you get here?"
"I-I don't know. I was just in this library and then I was wondering if you had something to do with it and then my hands glowed blue and then I was here!"
"A library? Is there a door in your room leading to a library?"
"Yes, but Loki! That's not the point! I just appeared here!"
"I just thought you might like to know that they put you in my room." I blushed and Loki laughed at my stunned expression. "It's fine, love. If anyone were to stay in my room, I'm glad it's you." My blush deepened at the nickname.
Loki chuckled and then reached out and took my hands in his. He looked at them closer.
"When you absorbed the powers of the Tesseract, you would have gained the powers of the Tesseract. The Tesseract can create illusions, which I assume you can do. I can also create wormholes for teleportation, project energy, and create force fields. All things you've proven you can do."
"Can you help me?" I whispered. Loki looked up into my eyes and smiled.
"That's what I'm here for, love," He said softly, his voice making me melt. I smiled and leaned forward without thinking until my lips were on his.
He acted accordingly, wrapping his arms around me and pulling me closer. I sighed happily as we pulled apart.
"I've wanted to do that for quite a while," Loki said softly as he rested his forehead against mine. I closed my eyes and smiled.
"Same here. We should...probably get back to...my powers though. More of that later."
"Um, yeah. Right." Loki straightened himself up and grabbed my hands again. I smiled at his flustered state. I was the one who made him feel like that! Not some random girl! Me!
"What?" Loki asked with a small smile.
"Nothing. Do you think you can show me how to control my powers?"
"Perhaps. Let's try illusions first." I frowned.
"We don't even know if I can do that."
"Exactly. Start with something simple. Something you see every day, that's small. And then, picture it in your hands. Try to think of every detail." I nodded as he stepped back.
I closed my eyes. I imagined my old stuffed rabbit toy that I kept in my room for sentimental reasons. I visualized its soft grey fur, kind plastic eyes, small pink velvety nose, and floppy ears. I then imagined its shape. It was small in size and sat on its hind legs with its front legs in front. Its ears were nearly twice the size of its legs. I pictured it in my hand, just sitting there.
I opened my eyes and gasped as I saw the small stuffed toy in my hands. Loki smiled and laughed as I looked up at him in awe.
"See? You can do it." I laughed as the rabbit flickered and then disappeared. "Illusions," Loki said, holding his hand up to let mini fireworks explode in the palm of his hand. "-Are the easiest thing to master when it comes to magic. I'll teach you how to master that first, and then we can work with your other powers. My mother also can teach you. She taught me."
"Witches raised her, right?" Loki nods.
"Some of the last in Asgard."
"Wow."
"Now how about you try to create a wormhole back to my room?"
"What?! You just said we were only doing illusions!"
"Yes, but you need to get back to my room somehow. It should be similar to creating an illusion. Just picture the room and hopefully, a portal will open."
"That's not what I did to get here."
"Then what did you do to get here?"
I blushed. I was kind of embarrassed. "I was thinking about you," I said quietly. Loki smiled. "I wasn't even thinking of teleporting here! I just did!"
"So don't think about it." I frowned.
"That makes no sense." Loki laughed.
"Try not to think about the room itself. Just think about something that's connected to the room. You thought about me, but teleported to this place."
I...guess that makes sense? I thought. May as well try it.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I quickly thought about the library and all the books. I thought about one book in particular that had caught my eye. Something in Latin. Occidere Ludibrium Avis.
I heard a wooshing sound and opened my eyes. In front of me was a wormhole with a blue outer edge. Inside the wormhole, was the library.
"I did it!" I laughed and hugged Loki. He smiled.
"You did that fast. Maybe this will be easier than I thought. But you need to go to bed now." I smiled at him.
"Okay. But first..." I leaned in and kissed him again. He chuckled against my lips before pulling back.
"Okay, Y/N. Now you have to go." I nodded sadly and stepped through the portal.
"Good night," I said. He smiled.
"Good night, love." I smiled.
I reached out my hand and made a fist. The portal disappeared. I sighed as I walked through the door to the bedroom. I flopped down on the bed. I closed my eyes and soon drifted off into a dreamless sleep.
