The Kind & The Cruel

Chapter 19

"Who's that?" Banner asked.

"Well, he kind of runs the place," Thor responded. I scoffed.

"He's an idiot that just happens to have a lot of power. Hey, kind of like you!" I said, hitting Thor's arm. He stuck his tongue out at me, but I just did the same, smirking. I had missed being a childish idiot with my best friend.

"You actually lived at his house for a while."

"I did?!"

"Yeah. Quite a lots happened. You and I had a fight recently."

"Did I win?"

"Yes," I said without hesitation. Thor glared at me. I shrugged.

"No, I won. Easily." I scoffed.

"Sure ya did big guy."

"That doesn't sound right."

"Well, it's true."

"No, it isn't!" Thor pushed my face back, making me almost fall over. I stood back up and punched his arm. "Jackass." He grinned at me.

"It seems the criminally seductive Lord Of Thunder has stolen him away." Banner and I both looked at Thor.

"Seductive god of thunder!" I raised an eyebrow.

"That's what you took away from this? Whatever. We need to move." 

Thor moved to the back of the Quinjet to get clothes for Bruce.

"This is bad. This is really bad," Bruce muttered.

"Hey," I said softly. "We're gonna be okay." 

"Thor, Y/N, I think I'm freaking out!" I sighed and stood in front of him, my hands on his shoulders.

"Just breathe. We'll get through this. We always do."

"No, no, no, don't freak out!" Thor said, running to us with some of Dad's clothes in his arms. "You're okay, put these on."

"These are Tony's clothes! Is he here?" I looked down, suddenly very sad.

"No, Dad's not here."

"But listen, you stay calm okay? You stay calm. The suns going down. The suns really low." I rolled my eyes as I followed them out the Quinjet.

"We get it, Thor."

Soon we were walking throughout the market, Bruce now in Dad's clothes. I had changed too, using my magic. My hair was now blonde (If you're already blonde then you're now a redhead) and I was wearing Sakaar amour. Thor kept repeating the same mantra to Bruce as we sat down. I know he was trying to help keep him calm but it was kind of getting on my nerves. 

"Would you stop saying that?!" 

"I just want you to stay calm!"

"Calm?! We're on an alien planet!"

"Bruce, I know this is a lot but I've been on multiple different planets and this one isn't that bad. And we can figure out a way home." 

"You've been on other planets?!" Banner exclaimed. "When?!"

"I would also like to know this," Thor said. I shrugged.

"I spent the last couple of years in space. It's no big deal."

"No big deal?! Are you kidding?!"

"It's just a planet," Thor said, making another attempt to calm Bruce down. "You've been on a planet before."

"Yeah, one!"

"Well, now you've been on two! That's a good thing!"

"Thor, no." Thor ignored me.
