Rylee and Johnny froze at the sight at the three Socs who walked into the room. The thick smell of cigarette smoke came into the room as well.
Bob looked around, "Damn. I swore this place looked different." He mentioned as he looked up at the rafters. A small smirk crossed his face when he saw the reflection of himself in Rylee's glasses.
Rylee froze on the spot as she soon realized her glasses would reflect the light of their lit cigarettes. She stared down at Bob, hoping that her stupid glasses didn't show Johnny in them either.
Her hands tightened on the rafter wood. Johnny looked at her with a side glance and he didn't move any other muscles. Why the fuck would he agree to this? Is she some sort of Soc magnet?
"Well, doesn't look like anyone is here.." Randy mumbled off, also looking up at where Bob was looking with a smirk on his face.
Rylee held her pocket, soon reaching into it and reaching for her switchblade. It's cold metal was freezing against her hands, but she didn't care. Her face turned sour as she rotated the blade in her hand.
She glared at the Socs as they left. Johnny finally let out a breath he didn't even realize he was holding in. His face turned to face Rylee; "What was that about?" He managed to mumble out.
"Nothin'." She scowled as she spoke. "We should get out of here." Rylee said as she stood up and jumped down the rafters with ease. Johnny followed behind her, though a bit more slower than she.
Rylee took a deep breath before speaking again, "Where do ya reckon Ponyboy and Two-Bit would be headin'? Same with Dally. I haven't known them as long as you, I suppose."
"They wouldn't run, not with us still here." Johnny replied back to her, "Maybe still outside?" He took a wild guess.
Rylee nodded. "Stay here then," She tossed him a switchblade. "Stay hidden, I'll find them."
"No." Johnny anxiously grabbed onto her jacket sleeve. "What if those Socs are just waiting for you to go by yourself? And then you would screwed over." He explained as he poked his head out of the hallway. "Besides I don't think I have the heart to fight.."
Rylee blinked as she got immediate flashbacks of the memory. Trying to ignore them, she held out her hand for him to either grab or give her switchblade. He did both. She flushed to the face almost immediately at the contact.
Rylee gave a anxious look towards her hand that was intertwined with his. Rylee swallowed her nervousness and lead him out of the rafter area, holding the switchblade in her right hand and holding Johnny's hand in her left.
She peaked her head over the stair railing to look down into the other rooms, she didn't see anyone from what she could tell. Fixing her glasses with her right hand as she walked down the stairs with Johnny behind her.
The duo could hear Ponyboy and Two-Bit laughing their asses off with a voice that sounded like Dally. Rylee and Johnny looked at each other with a confused look, did the other three not see the Socs?
"Wanna continue hidin'...?" Rylee looked back at Johnny with a slight smirk. "Pretty sure those Socs aren't here anymore, if they were we would already be tossin' hands. Or knives." She spoke again as she flipped the blade between her hand.
Johnny pondered the idea for a moment, then gave her a gentle tug back towards the front yard. "We could hide in a obvious spot..make them think they couldn't find us." He said with a small smile. Rylee responded with a smile back.
"Yeah. Let's do that."

Rylee and Johnny sat underneath the bushes, Rylee laying down and Johnny in a crouched position. She fixed her glasses then her hair with her pocket mirror as she laid down on the ground."Oh come on!" Dally groaned loudly into the night sky, "Where are those two?!"
"He sounds irritated." Rylee said in a hushed whisper with a giggle. "You're a good hidin' partner."
Johnny nodded towards her, which showed her that he meant the same things towards her too. That made her smile.
Rylee quickly panicked when Dallas grabbed the back of her neck, making her let out a high pitch girly scream. "Dallas Winston!-" She screamed out as she slapped his hand. "What the fuck?!"
Dallas snorted as he let loose of Rylee. "Oh my God that was hilarious." Rylee breathed heavy as she grasped her heart. Her heart was racing in her chest as she laughed out of her panic.
Johnny stood up and held his hand out for Rylee, a small smile on his face as he laughed. "You look horrified." He made the joke as she flipped the whole group of boys off.
"And you didn't even bother to tell me he was right behind me?!" Rylee gasped out as she took Johnny's hand and pushed herself up.
"Nah..I knew even if I did it would be too late." He chuckled again as he quickly let go of Rylee's hand out of nervousness. "Im sorry-"
"It's fine." She smiled at him.

Ponyboy set some sticks onto the fire. "Man, today was actually kinda fun. Rylee, aren't you glad you came along?" He joked as Rylee groaned before she took off her glasses."Yeah..kind of." Rylee said back sheepishly. "I mean- I never really did these kinda things for like, four years of my life."
"Well that shows." Ponyboy smirked as he said that. Rylee gave a sour look before flipping him off and burying her head between her knees.
"Shut up."
