Chapter 9

Jessica Pov: It's 6:00 and Jack should be over anytime. I scroll through Instagram until I hear the doorbell. "I'll get it!" I yell, but Jack already beat me to the door. "Hey Jack." "Hi." they both replied in unison. I laugh as Jack follows me up the stairs. "So you like living on the beach?" he asked me. "Yeah, I love it. I just miss Matt since he was my best friend." "Yeah I understand." We decide to get on Netflix Fast and Furious 5. In the middle of the movie, I got really cold and Jack must have seen me, because he went to get a blanket. He put it on us both and we cuddled for the rest of the movie.
When the movie finished I got on Twitter and saw my brother tweeted "JackJohnson: Looks like the two lovebirds are having a good time" then there was a picture attached of us cuddling. I started blushing and Jack leaned over to see what I was looking at, then he soon smiled. "We're adorable." "I know we are." I said with a cheeky smile. He laughed then tweeted "JackGilinsky: Spending my evening with the gorgeous JessicaJohnson " I retweeted it and as he was about to kiss my cheek, I turned my head. He gave me a kiss then started laughing. "Jessica, can I ask you something." "Yeah, sure." I replied with a smile. "Will you uh.. Will you be my girlfriend?" he asked with a nervous look. "No thanks." I said acting like it was nothing and he looked pretty disappointed. "I'm just kidding, of course I will!" I said giving him a big hug. His face lit up when I said yes, it was actually really cute. "Since we're dating, will you go on a date with me on Friday?" "Yeah, of course. Should I dress casual or fancy?" "Fancy, I have to go though my mom wants me home." "Okay, I love you." I said, but I think I might have said it too soon. "I love you too." He said with a smile.
The only problem is what will Taylor think of us dating? I'm sure he'll understand.... hopefully. Anyways today is Wednesday and I can't wait for Friday night! I go take a shower then lay my head on my bed. I hope tomorrow is a good day. I wonder what the kids at school will say about us dating.
The Next Morning
I get up for school and apply my daily makeup look. I straighten my hair and grab a pair of dark wash jeans with a crop top that says "I woke up like this." I grab a pair of black vans and grab my bookbag. I head downstairs to see a note on the counter. Dear Jack & Jessica: We will be on a business trip for the next two weeks. Make good choices! -Mom & Dad. I wonder where Kayla is? I run upstairs to her room and she's not there so I go and knock on Jack's door. "Did you see the note on the counter?" "Yeah, mom texted me saying Kayla is at our grandparents house." "Okay, well I'm not hungry so I'm going to head to school. Bye!" I run downstairs and get in the car. I go to Taylor's house because he texted me saying he needed a ride. I text him I'm here and right after he walks out the front door. "Sorry babe." "Don't call me babe, I have a boyfriend." He looks shocked and a little disappointed. "Let me guess, Jack?" "Yeah." I say with a smile. He plugs his phone into the aux cord and starts playing "I Need Your Love." "Seriously?" I ask laughing as he sings along. "Yes, it's my jam!" We pull into the school and I see both Jack's with a girl. I wonder who it is. Taylor gets out and gives me a hug then walks off. Gilinsky comes up and asks me why I was with Taylor. "He needed a ride so I picked him up. Nothing happens, I promise." "You don't need to promise, I believe you." he smiles. "So who is that girl you were with?" "My cousin Bella, I was hooking her up with Jack. I think they'd be a cute couple." "Oh, that's nice of you. Well I have to go to my locker I'll see you later!" "Okay, bye babe." he says as he kisses my cheek. I get my stuff and as I shut my locker I turn around and run into someone. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" "Well next time watch where you going okay. Also are you the girl who's dating Jack Gilinsky?" "Yeah, why?" "Well, back off because he likes me not and ugly....whatever you are." she says with an attitude. "No, he would never like someone like you! I won't back off either so deal with it." I say with the same attitude. "Watch your back." she says with a smirk. Okay then...
