Chapter 20

I look around and see that I'm in Alexa's room. What happend? I sit up and she looks worried. "What's wrong?" It looks like she's been crying. "You just fainted, I told you I'm moving back to Virginia and that I'm dating your brother's friend Jack. You-" "Alexa, we're in Virginia..." I cut her off. "Oh no. We need to get you to the doctors." Okay then. She drives me to the doctors office and signs me in. "Jessica Johnson?" A nurse calls out. I stand up and walk back to a room with her and Alexa. "So what is the last thing you remember?" I had to think for a second. "My parents were about to tell me something important then the doorbell rang. They said they'd tell me later, but I c any remember if they did or not." "What state are we in?" "Virginia." I question her. "Sweetie your in California." She asks a few more questions and writes on her board. She comes back into the room and talks to Alexa. "Um... Okay." she says. Alexa walks up to me with a small smile. "Jessica, you have a little memory loss. You can't remember anything that has happend in the past two-three months. I'm sorry." For the rest of the day I was with her we barely talked. I got back to my "house" and look around. I walk in the front door and see Matt. "Hey bestie." I say with a smile. "Bestie?" he gives me a questioning look. Alexa then walks in and whispers something in Matt's ear. "Jessica, you know we're dating right?" he becomes serious. "No? We're best friends and I kinda have a crush on Jack." I say my cheeks heating up. I can see the disappointment on his face. "Oh, okay.... I guess we're over." "Wait Matt. I'm supposed to remember soon. If you truly love/loved me, you'd help me remember." He smiles and gives me a big hug. "Anything for you beautiful." he smiles down at me considering he's taller than me. Alexa leaves and I head upstairs. I soon feels arms wrap around my waist and kisses all over my neck. I can tell its Matthew because he smells really good like usual. "Matthew, s-stop." I say giggling. He smiles and continues. He turns me around and then kisses my cheek. "Just trying to help you remember." he laughs. "Sure" I laugh.

|2 Days Later|
I look at the clock and it says 1:38am. Then I start to remember Jack hurting me and Matt being there for me. Then we started dating. I text Matt 'I have some big news' and it says 'read at 1:40am' but he didn't respond. I soon hear something hit my balcony window and I walk over to open the door. I figured it would be Matt, but it was.... Taylor? "Hey Taylor. Why are you here?" "I'm good thanks for asking. I'd be better if I could be with you though." he smiles. He climbs up a mini ladder I put out for him and climbs up. "So what's up?" "Well I just got my memory back, but other than that nothing really." I laugh. He smiles and sits on my bed. We talk for awhile longer than it gets to be 3am. "Well I better get going." he sighs. "Wait." I say as I stand up and give him a hug. He kisses my cheek then heads out. Exactly what I need, another boy in my life.
