Jessica's Pov: I wake up remembering it's Monday and groan. I get up and brush my hair and teeth. I straighten my hair and walk to my closet. I pick out a palm tree crop top and high waisted shorts. I eat breakfast and head to the car. As I drive to school I see Taylor on his penny board and roll my window down. "Want a ride?" He looks in my direction and smiles. "Yeah, thanks." He gets in the front seat and puts his board in my back. I put the radio on and Something Big came on. I haven't talked to Shawn since I first moved in. I should hang out with him soon. I pulled into my parking spot and got out. "I'll see you later Taylor." "Okay, see ya!"
I walk to my locker and feel someone's arms wrap around me. "Hey Jack." I smile turning around. The thing is that it wasn't Jack. "Shawn?" "Hey Babe." My smile fades as he calls me that. "Don't call me babe." I look around for someone I knew. No one, of course. He puts one arm on each side of me so I can't go anywhere. "What do you mean? Your not in a relationship." I look around again and look back at him. "I'm not, but I just got out of one. I'm taking things slow with Jack." His jaw clenches and he looks down. "Well he's not around is he, no one is." he smirks which causes me to frown. "Cameron..... Matt?" I yell but no one hears. Shawn soon starts to kiss my neck which makes me yell louder. "JACK? HELP!" Soon Shawn stops and falls to the ground I see Matt standing behind him and he continues to punch him. He looks up at me then gives me a hug. "Are you okay?" he asks concern in his voice. "Now I am. Thank you Matt." I say holding onto him tightly. "I'm still sorry Jessica. I messed up and I understand if you just want to be friends. Just remember that I will always be there for you. Even in times like this." I smile and kiss his cheek. I'm really glad things aren't awkward between us, I missed my best friend. "We should probably get to class." he laughs as I look around the halls to see them empty. "Bye Matt." I hug him again and head to class.
I zone out the whole period until I notice Alexa isn't hear, because she moved yesterday. I miss her, and I really should have hung out with her more before she left. I hear a buzz and the class goes silent. I then realize it was my phone and the teacher gives me a disgusted look. "Late and you disrupt the class." my teacher says then rolls her eyes. "Why don't you shut your mouth and continue your lesson." I say with sass. She looks shocked then continues to teach her lesson.
{Lunch}
I look around for Jack and when I spot him I walk over and sit by him. I tell him about this morning and he looks down. "Sorry I wasn't there to help you." "Jack, it's not your fault you didn't know. I didn't even know he liked me though." I look down. "Basically everyone likes you. But I'm the guy who has a chance." he smirks. I laugh and kiss his cheek. "Your cute." I smile. "Not as cute as you." he says as he pokes my nose. I giggle and continue to eat my lunch. The school day ended up going by really fast and I am currently watching Netflix. I continue to lay in my bed and I process what happend today. I hear my phone buzz and I grab it off my bed stand.
