A/N

I had a previous chapter written with John and his mom having dinner but it didn't save so it's lost now. I was to lazy to rewrite it and I barley remember what I wrote anyway so ya just gonna skip that. Hope yall enjoy this chapter though!!

Lots of Love ❤️

"John, time to get up and dressed, I have to take you to get on the bus." I awake again to mom gently shaking me.

"Nooo, five more minutes." I beg.

"I've let you sleep as much as possible but you have to get moving. Go take a quick shower and I'll be waiting on your room." The only thing that processes in my sleepy mind is go take a shower. I drag myself off the comfy couch and truck over to the bathroom. My sodden diaper hangs from my hips, swaying between my legs as I waddle. It's really heavy and has swollen to a larger size to accommodate to my pee, I must have gone a lot last night.

In the bathroom I untape the diaper and it lands with a thud on the tile floor. It is very, very clear that I went a lot, it looks like it will leak at any second.

I pull off my shirt and toss it on the floor before turning on the shower water and hopping in. At first it is really cold and this wakes me up but it warms up quickly. I use my rag and scrub my body, I even quickly wash my hair, using my moms good smelling soap.

She tells me not to use her soap but it just smells better than mine, plus she won't know if I don't tell her.

When I finish I dry of and go to my room. Mom is making my bed, tossing my pillows to the headboard of my bed. I don't fail to notice the wipes, baby powder and diaper on the ground.

"What's that for?" I ask pointing to the diaper.

"It's a long drive and I don't know how many times they will stop. It's better to be safe than sorry." Mom says as she finishes up with my bed.

"Lay down."

"But mom—"

"No buts John, lay down. I don't want to hear how you peed all over the bus because you couldn't hold it. Just trust me baby." I give in to my mom's demands and lay down. I can't believe I have to wear a diaper during the day.

"Good boy." She makes quick work of diapering me up. This diaper isn't as thick as my nighttime one, it's one of the old ones. One of the first ones we tried but it was quickly determined that it couldn't hold by large nighttime accidents.

When mom is done I get up and find clothes to wear. I pick out a regular t-shirt, not wanting to get too hot in the sun, but I do grab the biggest pants I have. Anything to hide the diaper.

It isn't much longer till I am in the kitchen eating a bowl of cereal. Mom is on her first cup of coffee as she stands on the other side of the counter in front of me.

My diaper's crinkling at any small movement I make is driving me crazy. It sounds loud enough that the whole world can hear it.

"We have to get going soon, finish up and don't forget to bring your bag."

"Okay." I eat the rest of my cereal quickly before putting the bowl in the sink and going to my room.

I look through my bag to make sure I have everything. My clothes and bathroom supplies is all there. I scan around my room to make sure I don't need anything else and I decide on stuffing a blanket and sir bear in the bag. Sir bear didn't need to come out but the thought of him being there if I need him is calming.

I zip up my bag and put it on my shoulder. It's a lot heavier than I thought it would be. I go back out to the living room/kitchen. Mom is waiting by the door with keys in hand, and we don't say anything as we leave.

We get in the car and drive off after an extremely long walk downstairs. Well it felt extremely long, probably because I had to carry my bag.

"How long is the bus ride?" I ask as we drive down the main road in our town.

"Three or four hours I think." The conversation is bland and awkward. Mom knows I don't really want to go but we both know it's better to try this method than keep having to buy diapers.

We pull into a parking lot, two nice busses are running but parked and people are moving in and out of them. Mom parks the car and we both get out.

A middle aged man walks up to us with a clipboard in hand.

"How are y'all?" He greets.

"Good." Mom replies as I just stand there holding my bag.

"What's the name of who's going with us?"

"John Whitlock." The man scans his clipboard, flipping the page before making a mark with his pen.

"Okay, you're all signed in, find a seat in either of the busses." The man smiles at us before walking away to talk to more people.

"Okay Johnny," Mom pauses, making sure I'm looking at her. "I love you, and I'll be right here when you come back. Call me every night, or almost every night, you know my number." Yes I have had my mom's number and our address memorized since I've been in first grade.

"I love you too." Mom kisses me on my forehead before going back to the car.

I look at the busses and decide to go in the second one, not a lot of people seem to be going in there yet. I walk onto the nice buss and head to the back seats.

I pass a couple of people but I don't make eye contact or try and sit close to them at all. I end up sitting close to the back, a couple rows from the end of the bus. I sit by the window and put my duffle bag in the seat next to me so no one would sit by me.

It takes about ten minutes for the busses to lurch forward, there's no go in going back now.
