Aurora's pov:
I'm late. I need to hurry up before I get sent to the basement of the orphanage again. I pick my ballet shoes and run to the classroom, I've only ever been late once before and that was when I was eleven, when I was new to things. But now, now I should be used to this. But how do they expect me to be so neat and tidy when I was whacked to shreds yesterday because my tights had a tiny hole in them.
I step in the class. All eyes are on me, I feel a cold chill down my spine, Miss Abbot approaches me and I already know what going to happen. I raise my arms, fists clenched, she takes the wooden ruler and hits my knuckles with it.
I don't even flinch anymore, but in the corner of my eye I notice a man and boy in the corner of the room, sitting and observing every move of everyone. Only then I realise Miss Abbot is speaking to me.
"You are late child. You have made a fool out of me and yourself in front of our lovely guests." She gives them a fake smile.
I only apologise and then go and sit down, trying to ignore the stinging pain from my knuckles. I make eye contact with the boy, he doesn't look much older than me, he has golden blonde hair and light green eyes, and his father I assume does not look as similar. But then again I am just assuming.
We start the ballet class and my feet are already burning. My arms are about to fall off and my legs are shaking, hopefully not visibly.
I see the man talking to Miss Abbot and the boy standing beside him, Miss Abbot then looks at me and I am now afraid I have done something wrong. She points and tells me to come.
I walk over there and give them a smile, I don't want to think about what would happen if I didn't.
The man eyes me up and down, "ah yes she is perfect, I will sign the papers immediately." He says.
I'm confused, what papers?
Am I getting out of here??
Is it finally happening???iMiss Abbot then tells me to pack up my things because I am leaving with them. And the man tells the boy to go with me, he just nods his head.
I almost start running to the room that I shared with five other girls.
"So what's your name?" I ask him, seeing that the silence grew awkward.
"Aaron, but everybody call me Warner. Yours?"
"Aurora."

Present
I'm sitting in the office finishing off paperwork. I get the feeling that Aaron is going to come
in here in 3..2..1He walks in, "Aurora."
I silently laugh to myself, "Yes?"
"This afternoon I am going to get Juliette from the asylum, and I don't want to risk anything bad happening to you while she stays here." He says, his face showing no emotion.
"Okay?" I'm not sure where this is going.
"You are going to have a temporary bodyguard for a while, just so we can confirm she is not dangerous." I swear I can feel him trying to read my mind for a reaction.
"What do I need a bodyguard for, surely if you think she's so dangerous she would endanger us all, no?" I question, I really don't want some guy following me around all the time. I need my privacy.
"Yes but this is what's best for your safety so please Auri cooperate with me." Damn he really wants me to have a bodyguard.
I let out a sigh, "Fine."
"Okay well he is stationed outside your door if you need him at this minute, I will see you at dinner with Juliette."
"Alright, bye, be safe." I say.
"Yeah bye." He walks out of the office.
