Aurora's Pov

I walk past the dining room when I hear Juliette talking which catches my attention.

"-and if I do this you will get rid of all the cameras and bugs in my room, everything?" Juliette asked.

Her room was bugged?

I stand by the door and try to listen to their conversation but I start thinking about if my room was bugged or not. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the decision had something to do with Anderson.

"You can go to hell." She spits.

Well that escalated fast.

I hear muffled footsteps coming towards the door. I swing it open before they get there pretending that I was meant to and slightly smile at Juliette.

Kent has appeared from nowhere all of a sudden and Aaron tells him to disable all bugs and cameras and that Juliette can eat lunch in her room if she pleases.

"Juliette." He looks at her.

She doesn't turn around but still answers. "Yes?"

"I do expect you to hold up your end of the bargain."

At that she just nods ever so slightly and leaves with Kent.

After they're gone, he turns to me.

"You heard everything, didn't you?" He raises one eyebrow.

I stare at him with wide eyes and then sigh. "Almost, yeah."

I pause. "Did you bug my room too?" It's a dangerous question to ask. It implies that I don't trust him which I do, but there are still secrets about certain things here and there.

"Aurora." He pauses. Looks guilty all of a sudden.

"Oh my god, you bugged my room didn't you."
I expect something like this from Anderson, not Aaron.

"No of course not, it's just I thought you had more trust in me than that." He frowns.

"Oh." I say sheepishly. But I still feel like there is something he isn't telling me.

I suddenly realise his shirt is unbuttoned and his chest is showing.

"What's going on here?" I raise my eyebrows.

"I wanted her to touch me." He says, as if she isn't deadly.

I scoff, "Jeez Aaron, control yourself, otherwise you're going to suffer the consequences."

He shrugs, "I wanted to know how her power feels."

I stare at him in disbelief. It's so annoying that he is being so careless with his safety.

"Yeah and how are you going to tell people about her power if you're dead, huh?"

"Yes, okay I get it, I should be more careful." He sighs.

"Good." I say then walk to my room.

When I walk into my room, Kenji is standing by my desk, looking straight ahead.

I felt like Aaron was lying to me when I asked him about the bugs. His words were one thing but his expression was another.

I start to look in my bookshelves, behind all of the books I kept when they were demolishing them. I don't find anything.

"Whatcha looking for?" Kenji asks.
