Peace With Him

I slowly open my eyes to find myself in HIS room. I look down at my arm and see a needle, on my left was a machine and a woman.

"She's awake sir." Says an unfamiliar voice.

I turn to my right and see Diego sitting beside me holding my hand.

"Medusa." He says in a worried voice.

I look around, confused as to what had happened to me earlier.

"Miss Medusa, you have very low blood pressure meaning when you're in stressful situations you tend to faint, but it's nothing too scary to think about just avoid being under stressful situations if possible."

The doctor then turns to Diego, and tells him that he should make sure that I'm not stressed for these few days.

"Right. Thank you doctor Louise." Says Diego while looking at his watch.

"Diego...." I say with as much strength I have in my voice.

"Shh. Don't speak now. Just relax, whatever you wanna tell me you can tell me later ok love? Right now I need you to rest." he replies.

I let out a sigh before asking him...
"Why.. d-did you leave me?"

He looks at me confused. "What are you talking about Medusa I'd never leave you."

"bullshit" I whisper to myself.
"You left me there! And- and some men came and they took me and-..." I get cut off.

"Medusa. Listen." He demands.

I look at him up and down then roll my eyes, I pull my hand away from his and turn my head to face the opposite direction.

"I- I don't even- k-know why I asked you th-that stupid question! it's obvious th-that you don't care about me." I say while tears started to fill my eyes.

"Hey. Don't ever say that again you hear me?" He gently grabs my face and turns it to face him again. "I care about you more than you think Medusa." Before he could say more he gets cut off by a phone ring.

He looks at his phone and I quickly see his expression change, from calm to enraged.

"Medusa I'm going to leave you here for a while but you have the nurses with you ok love? I promise I won't be long." as he stands up and gets ready to leave I quickly grab his hand.

"D-Diego please stay." I say in one breath.
Diego looks at me then his phone.

"Carlos tell him I'll sort that out later. I'm taking care of someone at the moment." With that he ends the phone call and looks down at my lips and then back up to my eyes.

"I wonder if it's about Valeria and Xavier..." I say to myself.

"D-Diego" I say.
"Medusa. I don't want you to talk, let me do all the talking now." He moves closer to me making him closer to my face.

"You are MY priority right now Medusa. you want to stay I'll stay. That night... I don't know what happened but when you were asking so many questions I- I just blanked out."

"Wait. Was he opening up to me? but damn, not even a single apology for just leaving me like that..." I say in my head. With that I slowly start closing my eyes.

He gently places my front hairs behind my ears, as he whispers "you'll always be MY priority Medusa Evalor" with that he slowly pulls himself away and heads towards the door.
