"I expected you to say no", he heard Jisung's voice coming closer, seeing his silhouette sit down in front of him. "Why didn't you say no?"
He knew that Jisung would ask and decided to be careful. Minho wasn't sure what Jisung would do if he found out that his own father was blackmailing one of his students for his benefits and he surely didn't want to find out.
"Looks like you need it", Minho said provocative, not lifting his head. He was sitting on a bench on the campus, trying to get one of his essays done before his next course was starting. Jisung laughed. "You'd be surprised, but guess what?"
"What?"
"That just means we get to spend more time together and I get more chances to get into your head", he said, chuckling. Minho raised his head to glare at him, noticing a bruise under his right eye. "What happened to your face?", he asked and frowned. "Annoyed the wrong student?"
His smile faded and all that's left on Jisung's face was coldness, sending shivers down Minho's spine. He swallowed, not being able to hold eye contact any longer. "Coward", he thought to himself embarrassed, not brave enough to look back at Jisung.
"There you are", a female voice interrupted them. "I've finished arranging your schedules." She handed each a piece of paper and Minho looked at her in shock as soon as his eyes have wandered over the sheet. "Tutoring almost every day?", he asked perplexed. "That's correct", she answered, turned around and walked away without another word.
He turned towards Jisung, expecting that cocky smile of his but he was still glaring at him. Minho felt a sting in his chest, leaving his throat dry. "I didn't mean to anger you", he mumbled, trying to hold eye contact. Jisung nodded, his whole aura seemed different and Minho couldn't get a hang of what might have upset him. He was feeling uncomfortable and he scolded himself for always blurting out what he was thinking when he felt slightly comfortable. Funny how tables can turn in a split second.
"We share the same courses, I'll pick you up after our last one and we can study at my house", Jisung said, turned on his heel and left. Minho took a deep breath and closed his laptop, glad to be on his own again. There was no use in trying to focus anymore anyway. He crammed his stuff together and took off to his last course.
The professor had already begun his speech, forcing Minho to tippy toe to his seat. "You're late?", Felix asked surprised as soon as he sat down next to the blonde one. "You're never too late. Is everything okay?"
Minho nodded. He wasn't planning on telling him what happened, knowing the younger one would end up worrying way more about him than about his own responsibilities and Minho wasn't in the mood to be blamed for that. "I was working on my essay and forgot about the time", he whispered, trying to avoid Felix's eyes.
He couldn't seem to focus on the professor and with every passing minute the realization of being all alone with Jisung in his house was hitting him more and more, leaving his throat dry once again, making his legs shake up and down nervously.
The professor was clapping in his hands to announce the end of the course, making him jump and Felix frowned at him. "You're restless. What is it?" He shook his head again. "Nothing, I'm just a little tired today. I'll see you later?" Felix nodded as he got up to leave the room, feeling the younger one's eyes burn a hole in his back.
He found Jisung leaning against the wall, waiting for him at the end of the hallway, feeling his heart beat faster with every step he was taking towards him.
"Ready?", the blue haired boy asked without lifting his head, playing with his keychains as soon as Minho stopped in front of him. Minho hummed, eyes fixated on his keychains or more, his slim, long fingers and black painted nails. "Stop staring", Jisung said and pushed himself off of the wall. "Let's go."
