The days seem to trickle by ever so slowly ever since the day of the doctor's visit, yet it gives you just the right amount of time to let things flow steadily with not too much of a rush—or unnecessary drama—going on.

Everything between you and Namjoon had escalated much too fast and a little too intense at the very beginning of this journey, starting from the night of your hook-up to the start of your pregnancy, with so little time for you to figure out where your friendship now lies after having so many things in your lives changing.

Namjoon doesn't seem to mind the slow pace you are going at, as he had promised to give you the time you needed. And it's not like there hasn't been any progress happening at all, either.

Weeks have passed by since that day at the fried chicken joint.

After confronting your past for one last time, you have started to feel like you are finally ready to move forward. To start focusing on yourself and the future that is waiting for you.

But you still have a long way before you can take any decision about taking the big leap forward with Namjoon. The wounds that you carried ever since you walked out of your old life may have been healing, but the remaining scars are still there, and it won't be fair to Namjoon if you stand by his side when you aren't completely done licking your wounds.

You feel undeserving to be with him, when in your eyes, Namjoon has always been so flawless, untainted by the pain from the world, whereas the person you are now is fractured, nothing more but a shell of the person that he used to know and look up to.

Perhaps, if you could at least gain back the confidence that you had lost—after having it trampled by the man who promised to give you nothing but love—before pursuing the idea of having something more than a friendship with Namjoon.

It seems like a challenge, even for you, but you are doing this not only for the sake of your broken heart, but also for the boys who will need your protection in the near future. You want to be strong, not only to feel more deserving to be standing by Namjoon's side, but also for the babies now growing within you.

Right now, love feels like a luxury that you cannot have. You are afraid that you will only lose focus, when you need to focus on preparing yourself for a life of motherhood. With twins.

At least, despite the setback that is happening between the two of you at the moment, there are still a few positive changes happening that allow you to feel optimistic about the future.

You may have yet to accept his proposal to date him properly, but you have agreed to give in and do a couple of his bidding. One of which involves you moving back to his place, back to his home, under the agreement that you are going to allow things to flow naturally just to see where things are going once you get to spend more time with him.

You look at it as the first step into a new beginning, to be able to see what is waiting for you once you are ready to grab it.

On the weekdays, you would return to his home and spend time with him right after work; sharing home-cooked dinners, followed by long conversations accompanied by warm drinks and desserts or movie nights to end the night, before falling asleep in his bed. On the weekends, or whenever you need your personal space, you would return to your rented place to recuperate. Which, as of late, has been getting rare as you are beginning to spend more time with Namjoon back in his home.
