Sophie packed up her thing and got ready for the sleepover at Everglen. She tried her absolute hardest not to tug on her itchy eyelashes- though it did not help because Keefe out of all people will be there. She counted the seconds, waiting for the never ending tsunami of queasiness to hit her over and over again, getting stronger and stronger with each strike, dragging her down, down, down....... Until there she was, just floating there, slowly sinking into the sea of uncertainty.

When Sophie finally arrived at the shimmering gates of Everglen, Biana greeted her with a warm smile like always. Nothing unusual with that. The golden gates slowly opened, revealing a sparkling mansion that she almost called home at some point.

She could see that Tam, Linh and Fitz were already there, chattering away happily at the small clearing in front of the glistening lake that rested in a area of Everglen that looked like it came straight out of a magical fairy-tale forest.

"Sophie! I'm so glad you came!" Biana laughed softly, almost a bit forced, but Sophie tried not to notice that.

"Hey, Biana," Sophie replied, trying to show here utter enthusiasm.

"Here, you can go sit at the lake with the others while I wait for Dex and Keefe, 'k?"

Keefe. That name hit her smack in the face. Biana didn't seem to notice, or pretended not to, as she hurried Sophie to join her friends by the lake. She can't help thinking to herself about Biana's suspicious behavior, but she tried to ignore it as much as possible, after all, today was about having fun... right?

After walking what seemed like miles, she sat herself down next to Linh, to be greeted by Fitz's movie star smile, Tam's signature snark, and Linh's sweet, rosy (but feisty) face. The four of them talked happily, almost making Sophie forget about her Keefe-related worries. Almost. The orange sun slowly climbed down the sunset sky, looking like a gorgeous picture painted in reds and oranges. Clouds framed the sun, while a few little stars peeked out from the sky, ready to shimmer and shine into the peaceful night. After a while, Dex arrived and joined them by the lakeside, and just as Sophie was about to release a sigh of relief, a shadowy figure stood in front of the last rays of day.

A boy with artistically gelled hair and stunning build.

Keefe.
