After standing there questioning her life choices for thirty minutes, Sophie decided the best way to handle this is wait for Linh to come get her, eat some mallowmelt, and hop back to Havenfield in which everyone -hopefully- forgot the recently-experienced embarrassment.
But things did not go as expected.
Sophie waited for a while longer, and then the door creaked open. She expected to see Linh, greeting her with a wide smile 😊. Instead, she saw a dark figure covered in shadows. Familiar flashback came. Darkness dawned before her. Haunting voices filled her head. "Moonlark," one said. "How are you doing without your plump wrinkly leader?" Another cackled.
"Uhhhhhh hi," said Tam, snapping Sophie back to the present, only to realize how long she had been standing there staring into space. She gave him an awkward smile, and replied,
"Sorry for bothering you, but I kind of need a place to, you know, get away from Havenfield,"
"Understandable," Tam chuckled. "Come on in!"
Teirgan's house was somewhat organized, yet messy. Tam led Sophie into the room that he and Linh shared. Sophie saw Linh lying on her bed, practically bursting with laughter. Sophie did not notice what was so funny, until she realized how close she was standing next to Tam. She awkwardly shuffled away and sat down next to Linh. Here is what happened in the next thirty minutes:
Sophie: Uh, heyy
Linh: *smiles* Hi!
*awkward silence*
*crickets chirping*
Sophie: So um, how are you?
Linh: Good how about you?
*more silence*
*background music*
Sophie: Ok so uhm, in case you're wondering why I'm here, I came to escape Havenfield.
Linh: Oh ok, cool :D
*imparter rings*
Edaline through imparter: SOPHIE WHERE ARE YOU ITS TIME FOR DINNER! !
Sophie: Ok I'll be there in 1 minute
As Sophie turns to say a quick goodbye to Tam and Linh, she saw a little tint of blush on Tam's face. I must be hallucinating, thought Sophie. She quickly leaped back to Havenfield, in the comfort of her own home.
So sorry for the short chapter and how long it has been since I posted. Don't worry tho, I think it's abt time for some drama >:)
