(A/N This story starts just 7 months after the ending of kotlc book 9: Stellarlune. 4 months ago, they defeated the Neverseen.)
"You're their little puppet" Gethen's voice haunted her mind.
"Your vanisher will NEVER be the same"
"Prepare for the endgame. My legacy. Your legacy. Our legacy"
"Sophie, Please stop!"
Sophie woke up in cold sweat. Sandor peeked in at her scream. But after studying her for 2 seconds, he went back to standing guard at the door. Though she knew that the Neverseen was technically defeated, their victory made absolutely no impact on the nightmares and her over-worrying personality. It did not help that Keefe (A/N I actually pronounce Keefe like 'key-fy' but I just found out last week it was pronounced 'keef') was ignoring her for the last few weeks and told her that he needed space. But all that does not matter, she just needs her boyfriend, even though he convinced her to act in front of other people as if they were friends.
Yes, none of their friends knew a single thing about Sophie and Keefe's relationship because Keefe didn't want to tell them to "avoid extra drama", which was a decent reason, given their friend group's complicated relationship web of who likes who, who rejected who and stuff like that. Sophie wanted to avoid anymore of that happening, especially because things like that has caused blows in the group's overall friendship in the past.

After she leaped to The Shores Of Solace, she was shortly greeted by the one and only Lord Cassius.
"Ahh, Miss Foster. I suppose you are here for my son?" Lord Cassius flashed a particularly oily smile. "Yes," she said, looking down. She most definitely does not want to meet his eyes.
"Come right in."
"..."
"Keefe is currently in his room, studying" Lord Cassius rolled his eyes, which was a quite reasonable reaction.
"Thank you,"
Sophie burst through the door. "Keefe!" She was so happy until she realized...... they weren't alone. Keefe is currently lying on the bed beside a pale girl with ginger hair and midnight blue eyes. She looked a little like a Barbie doll, from the smooth hair to the delicate, perfect features. Sophie stood there for who knows how long, watching them. Well, watching the girl. She was gorgeous. She was everything Sophie wasn't. Sophie felt all the insecurities burn in her stomach, like a flaming fire pit raging on and on.
"Oh...uh... hey Foster!" Keefe said, with a nervous smile rather than his usual confident smirk.
"Don't 'hey, Foster!' Me! Who's she?" Sophie snapped, eyeing them suspiciously.
"I see you've met... Zayla," he said, again with his sheepish look.
"Hi Sophie. I've heard a lot about you from my boyfriend here," the girl—Zayla—said.
Boyfriend!?
I glared at Keefe. "Care to explain?"
"You see, I—"
"Actually, there is no need. You cheated!"Sophie said, with tears starting to form her eyes. "I trusted you!"
And before he said another word, she held up her home crystal and leaped away.
373 words. Not bad for my first try. But before you guys kill me, please I'm only ten. I do not have fast fingers or patience to write that much. Please understand 🩵
