Wanda's POV

Christmas holidays were over and it was time to go back to reality.
I was happy to go back though, all the time we spent at Clint's house I was scared to hurt someone while at home I was alone so no one could get hurt or worse.

I said hi to Nat, who was going back to New York, and walked towards my house, far from the other ones.

It snowed there too, so all the mountains around were white and the view was amazing.

When I entered the house I felt something different, it was as if someone was there.
At first I thought it was Strange but then I remembered he was busy on a mission so it couldn't have been him.

I started walking around the house, checking everything was fine, but when I entered the living room my heart stopped: it must have been some kind of spell, it couldn't have been real.

But there he was, Jasper was standing in the middle of my living room, smiling.

I approached carefully, still not believing it was real.

-Are you...?- I said, my hands on his shoulders checking that he really was there.

He took my hands in his and kissed them, like he always used to do.

-It's me- he said smiling.

-How?- I asked while feeling my tears very close to fall.

-A guy named Wong, he said you missed me and that me being here would have helped you healing faster- Jasper said.

I smiled, now crying and he kissed me.
I missed him so much and having him there was like as if I started breathing again.

-When did you get here?- I asked, still hugging him and not wanting to let him go.

-Not too long ago- Jasper said -And I'm not leaving anytime soon-.

We stayed there for I don't know how many minutes, just hugging.
He was back, I wasn't alone anymore.

-Let me show you around- I said -We're in the middle of nowhere here but there are some beautiful spots-.

Jasper smiled, nodding; we started walking not caring that it was starting to snow again.
No one said anything , but no words were needed.
Eventually, we stopped at one of my favorite places, a little area more isolated compared to the other places and so quieter.

-I always come here when I need to stay alone- I said -Sometimes people's thoughts can be very loud-.

-Yeah, I feel you. The same happens with emotions sometimes too- Jasper said.

-How is your family? Are they ok?- I asked.

-Yeah- Jasper said -Bella and Edward had a daughter, she's an hybrid-.

-Really? Is that possible?- I asked, surprised. We had vampires in our universe too but I never heard about hybrids.

-Yeah, we were surprised at first too. Apparently it is- he said.

Our conversation ended like that and silence came back. It was a good silence though, we enjoyed it.
Suddenly, Jasper kissed me. I kissed him back, his kisses were so sweet and I missed his cold lips.

-Ehm-ehm- someone said coughing from behind us: Strange -I'm sorry to interrupt, but I need to speak with Wanda-.

-Yeah, I'll leave you two alone- Jasper said -I'll wait for you at your house-.

I nodded and Jasper disappeared, using his vampire speed.

-What are you doing?- I told Strange once Jasper left.

-I got a call this morning from a friend of mine, he's very close to powerful people- Strange said -You're wanted-.

-That's not new, people hate me- I said.

-No, that's different- the sorcerer said -You're a criminal, they're looking for you-.

I sighed. I was kind of expecting this to happen at some point, honestly I was surprised that they waited this long.

-What am I supposed to do?- I said.

-We don't know if people here are going to betray you or not- Stephen said -You need to leave-.

-I knew you would have send me away one day- I said sighing -They all do eventually-.

I felt betrayed, stabbed at my back from one of my friends.

-You can stay at the Avengers Tower, I talked to Tony, he said you can stay there- Stephen said.

-Oh he is probably the first one to want me in prison- I said sarcastically -I'll find a place, I bought a place a while ago under a different name-.

I started walking away, when Stephen grabbed my hand, stopping me.

-I'm sorry Wanda, I'm doing this so you have time to leave and disappear- he said -I never wanted you to leave-.

-Well, I won't be a problem anymore soon, leaving here means interrupting the healing sessions- I said -I guess I won't be missed-.

Stephen said nothing and let go of my hand.

I walked back to my house, finding Jasper waiting for me there.

-So? Did something happen?- he asked.

-Find Wong and go back home- I said -I need to disappear for a while-.

-No, I'm not leaving you again- Jasper said -I don't plan to go back to my universe soon. Tell me what happened please-.

I told him everything, why we had to leave and what he was risking with staying with me.
My phone rang, Nat's name appearing on the screen.

-Yes?- I said answering the call.

-We heard what happened- Nat said and I could feel she was worried -You need to come here, at the Tower, you'll be safe-.

For how much I was sure that Tony hated me, I had to admit Nat was right; also, my place could have been a good plan B in case something happened.

-Ok, but I won't be alone- I said smiling and looking at Jasper, who smiled too.
