Life On The Run

**The Next Morning**:

 Seth was exhausted, he had another migraine after dealing with Ford and his bullshit all night. He had spent the night at the station with Ford, going over new leads he had told Seth couldn't wait until the next day to follow up on! Seth had finally convinced Ford that they should wait until they had some sleep before finishing or they might make a mistake! Hearing that Ford quickly agreed, he didn't want to risk ruining his perfect record by making a mistake!

 Arriving at the hotel, Seth parked before he got out. As he walked into the hotel and got onto the elevator he began to think of Roman. He missed Roman, he missed their talks, he missed joking around with him, he missed...everything! He got off the elevator and headed for their room. He unlocked the door and went inside quietly, so he didn't wake Roman. Shutting the door he realized the room was quiet...too quiet, something felt different to him. He looked around and noticed that none of Roman's things were laying around. He rushed to the bathroom first and knocked, not getting an answer he looked inside Roman wasn't there! He then rushed to the bedroom, hoping to find him asleep, but when he opened the door all he saw was Roman's gear on his bed! He rushed around the room checking for his things, but everything was gone and so was Roman!

 He sat down on Roman's bed and took out his phone, quickly dialling Roman's number. It rang, but no one answered, it went to his voicemail. He hung up and tried a couple more times getting the same result. The fourth time he tried he left Roman a message, begging him to contact him and let him know he was okay at least! Hanging up Seth picked up Roman's badge and starred at it, as his tears fell silently. It was his fault Roman left, he had driven his brother away and there was nothing he could do to fix it!

**With Dean And Roman**:

 After Dean had picked him up the night before, they stopped at a bank machine. Roman withdrew money to put with Dean's, so they wouldn't have to use credit cards which Seth could use to track them.

 After the bank they stopped at a gas station, while Dean filled up the tank, Roman bought enough snacks and drinks to last them awhile. Once on the road again Dean drove first, they didn't have a destination in mind. The only thing they wanted to do was put as much distance between them and the city as they could!

 Roman had tried to stay awake, but he eventually fell asleep. He was woken the next morning by Dean gently calling his name.

 "Morning Sleeping Beauty!" Dean said smiling, as Roman sat up stretching.

 "Morning? You let me sleep all night?" Roman asked shocked.

 "You looked so peaceful, I didn't want to wake you! You were so out of it you didn't even hear me call Hunter, or stop to get coffee!" Dean answered smiling.

 "You must be exhausted?" Roman asked, as he touched Dean's face gently. "I'll drive and you can sleep, you can lay down in the backseat so you can stretch out." Roman said kissing his cheek.

 "I will, but after we eat I'm starving! I really need to stretch my legs anyway!"

 "Me too! Where are we anyway?"

 "Uh...I'm not sure really!" Dean answered, as they got out and stretched. "I just kept driving wherever the car took us!" He said smiling, before he kissed Roman.

 "Come on, let's go eat!" Roman said smiling, as he took Dean's hand and they went inside the diner.

 They ordered their food, and as they ate both their phones went off. They took them out, Paige was calling Dean and Seth was calling Roman. Dean watched as Roman turned his phone off and put it away, he kissed Roman's head sadly, before he answered his phone.

 "Hey Paige!" Dean greeted her, as he continued eating.

 "Hey D! How is my favourite couple?" She asked.

 "Good, we're just eating breakfast! You want to say hi?" Dean asked.

 "Put me on speaker." She told him.

 "Okay, go ahead!"

 "Hey Ro, how are you? I didn't get a chance to say goodbye."

 "I know, I'm so sorry! It was my idea to leave." Roman said, feeling guilty.

 "It's okay, next time I see you though I'm kicking your ass!" She answered. "How's your arm? Did you finally get your cast off?"

 "It's good, I got the cast off last week actually!" Roman answered.

 "That's great big man!" She said.

 "Paige, are you okay?" He asked noticing something was off with her.

 "I'm fine!" She answered.

 "Paige, I know you're lying! Have you forgotten you can't lie to me kid?" Dean asked, noticing it too.

 "Damn you Ambrose! I really am okay. I just miss you guys like crazy!" She answered truthfully.

 "We miss you too kid! When we're far enough away, I'll send you the money and you can come stay with us for good okay? I promise!" Dean said seriously.

 "You better Ambrose!" She replied sadly.

 "If he doesn't, I will Paige!" Roman quickly added.

 "Okay. I...I have to go, but you guys stay safe! I love you both!"

 "We will, you stay safe too kid! We love you too!" Dean said.

 "Bye guys."

 "Bye." Both men said together, before Dean hung up.

  Dean put his phone away, and began playing with his food. Roman watched him silently, knowing how guilty Dean felt for leaving Paige alone.

  "Ro, I'm worried about her." Dean said sadly.

  "I know babe, so am I! She's tough and smart, she'll be okay until we find a place! The second we do I'll have money sent to her and she'll come stay with us for good!" Roman said squeezing his hand.

  "I love you baby boy!" Dean said, as he kissed him.

  "I love you too!" Roman replied smiling.
