Greed promises the illusion of controlling our circumstances through wealth and power. But this is chasing after wind. Despite all we acquire, we remain vulnerable to life's uncertainties.

Greed narrows our focus to accumulating and managing possessions. But true security comes from developing inner strengths like wisdom, integrity and courage. No one can take these from us.

Seeking control through greed also blinds us to higher purposes. We become consumed with efforts to build our individual kingdoms at any cost. But we are all citizens of one world, reliant on each other. When we act for the good of all, we paradoxically gain more control over shaping our shared destiny.

To be free of greed's false promises, we must open our eyes to life's interconnected nature. We can then redirect energies toward building inner wealth and working cooperatively.
