A void lies at greed's core which no amount of material wealth can ever fill. Like pouring water into a bottomless pitcher, our futile attempts to satiate greed only empty us further. It leaves us in a cycle of brief pleasure followed by chasing the next prize, never feeling we have enough.

This is the tragedy of mistaking greed for ambition. While ambition energizes effort toward worthy goals, greed's restless craving for more is a symptom of inner lack. Its superficial fixes cannot heal the underlying wound.

To be freed from greed, we must boldly look inside and ask: What parts of myself feel insufficient and empty? Why do I seek validation outside myself rather than within? What would make me feel whole beyond what money can buy?

In facing our inner void, we find empathy for the shared human struggle. We can then redirect energy toward nourishment from deeper sources.
