I was about to leave the dorm when my phone rang,it was Brian.
"Good morning, are you awake?" He asked.
"Good morning, yeah I am am also about to come to see you."
"Already?are you skiing class again?" He asked.
"Yeah, I am, and don't worry about my studies. I have done my work, and I also have Sophia who will lead me to her work."
"So you're skiing class and also depending on others to do work for you?"
"Hey, don't judge, and besides, I am worried about you. You just started university a week ago, and now you spent another in hospital," I said as I tried to change the topic.
"I know but at least now things are finally getting back into pieces"
"True,am happy you will be back to school soon"
"Yeah I can't wait to be back again as soon as my mom gets back on her feet"
I was already at the parking lot when I heard the class bell ringing.
I got inside my posche and drove towards the exit when I almost crashed towards a bike that was heading my way ,likely the bike stopped in front of my car.
I got out to see if I caused any damage, as I bend to look at the front, I saw two legs with black boots standing in front of me.
I stood up and saw Cody looking amused as he put his hand on my car.
"Don't worry am sure, she's fine" he said as he looked at me.
"Yeah thank God, otherwise I would be in big trouble or not " I said not carrying if it had any scratches knowing my mom wouldn't mind at all.
"Are you skiping class again,I understand you are worried but shouldn't your studies come first?"
"Yeah I know but you know am always on top of my class and skiping afew won't affect my grades"
"Says a girl who missed her classes almost a week now"
"Who are you to question me, last time I checked you aren't my teacher nor the Dean to give me lecture so if you would excuse me am getting late"
I then walked back to my car and drove to the hospital. I met Brian at the reception filling up a form.
"Hey ,how is your mom now?"
"She's fine,the doctors have done some exam and by the end of the day I'll be taking her home"
We walked together to see his mom,she was talking to his brother and she seemed happy.
As we entered the room,Brian introduced me to his mom and she gladly shook my head and I showed her the bouquet I brought for her on my way .
Looking at them,enjoy their time as they should, it was a tough time for Brian to take care of his brother and his mom it was indeed a miracle for her to wake up soon.
As I watched them talk,my phone rang and I excused myself and left the room.
I looked the caller and it was from Sophia.
"Hey where are you?" She asked.
"Am at the hospital, Brian's mom woke up" I broke the news to her.
"That's great,wait why didn't you tell me?"
"I was about to inform you, but you called so yeah"
"Am glad that she's fine,I'll come later to see her"
