chapter 27:Scared to lose!

I couldn't believe myself that I would be harsh towards Sophia when she suggested that we do the project together but instead I agreed with Martha and told Sophia to do the work on her own and send us the notes.

She shook her head in disbelief and left the room, I turned to look at Martha who looked happy and excited for the party.

Even though I didn't want to turn the study session into party I didn't want to disappoint martha either. I seriously wanted to take advantage of this weekend to make friends but I guess 8 blew it up.

Sophia was nowhere to be seen and I didn't want her to miss out the fun either but Martha stopped me and told me to have fun.

Anders seemed disappointed too, he probably thought I lied to him but I didn't want him to tell on me so I followed him as he was going to the kitchen.

"Hey anders, I know you think that I lied about bringing friends to study but instead you saw us partying please don't tell mom and I promise by tomorrow  I'll study ok promise?" I asked as if I have committed a crime.

"Miss samra last time I checked you're old enough to make your decision, am only doing m job and that's to make sure nothing wrong happens while am in charge ok" he said as he showed me the food he prepared for us.

I know he was right about me making my decision and him being in charge of the household but maybe because I felt guilty for my own actions and didn't want mom to know I have brought people to the house.

Usually the only person she would allow to be here is martha because she's friends with her mom otherwise I would be lonely and no friends allowed  in her book.

As I was thinking about things, I heard loud music and I went to check what was going on. Martha pulled me and we danced as others were sitting talking and laughing.

Out of nowhere, I was enjoying myself when someone gave me a drink, I drank it and continued dancing when all of a sudden I felt dizzy and things became blurry.

I don't know how long I was enjoying myself when I suddenly saw Brian leaving, I followed him from behind when I saw him going inside a room.

I followed him and I saw him inside my home library, at first I thought that he was bored and wanted to stay away from the noisy room but then I saw a familiar face.

It was Sophia, she was sleeping on the couch with a book, I guess she was doing the project and got tired.

I looked back at Brian and he was staring at her, he then touched her cheek before saying something but I couldn't hear him loud enough due to the music and I was also a bit dizzy myself.

He then put a blanket on her body before he sat down and laid his head on the other side of the couch.

I barely had enough strength to stand still when  I quickly ran to my room and quickly went to the bathroom and kneel down to the toilet and I puked so loud  that my heart could come out.

I heard a knock on the door,I couldn't say a word since I was continuously puking. Finally someone came in and was holding a towel it was none other than Anders.

He helped me stand and I washed my face and he helped me walk back to bed and I passed out.

The next day I was woken up by the light of the sun beaming through the curtains, my head was hurting and I was feeling tired.

Someone knocked and came in holding a tray of food,I was so hungry that I could eat anything that was on the plate.

I looked up and I saw Anders, he put the tray on the other side of the bed as I lazily sat up and he looked at me.

"What is it Anders?" I asked as I took a bit of the apple fruit.

"How are you feeling this morning?" He asked as he put some pills next to my tray.

"Am having headache and by the way did Sophia and the rest woke up I have to do something with her?" I asked as I remembered she slept in the library with Brian.

"Only Sophia woke up but unfortunately she has left and told be to inform you that she will send you the notes through email " he said as he was about to leave.

That was strange, but I was way to tired to leave the bed and see the others so I ate breakfast and took a nap.

I woke up hours later and looked at my bed clock and realized it was almost noon. Thankfully I was fine,I quickly ran out of the room to see if the others are still here.

By the time I reached downstairs I saw Anders closing the door, he saw me and before I could ask him he smiled.

"Unfortunately no one is here, everyone left including the ones you invited to spend the weekend here" he said and left.

"This is the worst weekend ever, I guess it was meant to happen" I blamed myself.

My phone rang and I looked the caller it was Martha, I answered the phone and the next thing I hear her screaming and telling me to call the police.

I barely had no idea what happened and she didn't tell me what happened to her either.

I called her back but it kept on ringing, finally she answered it and she seemed terrified, she was sobbing and I didn't know what to do.

"Hey gal, what happened? Why are you crying? Did something bad happen to you?" I asked her.

"My...my boyfriend was attacked and I t...tried to escape but I couldn't he was stabbed and now am scared to lose him" she said crying out.

"Its ok Martha, where are you now am coming to see you?" I asked as I walked quickly to my room.

"Am...in hospital, thankfully a stranger helped me and the police are here to take my statement, please come and help me am so scared" she said as she tried to calm down.

Finally she gave me the address to the hospital and I got myself ready to go to her.

As I reached the hospital, I saw Martha with two police officers and they seemed to be questioning her. She had blood all over her hands and blue dress she was wearing.

She turned around and when she saw me,she cried again and I quickly hugged her and she held me tight as if her life depended on me.

"Am... sca..red samra, I do..n't want... to lo..se h..im" she said as I heard her voice cracking....
