Itachi, Attorney at Law (ITACHI X READER)

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* You reach over and turn off your alarm and let out a big sign. You roll over and stare at the ceiling. 

"Well, lets do this thing!"

You have a job interview this morning at one of the top law firms in the country. You just graduated from Harvard Law at the top of your class. You had originally planned on accepting the job offer from your professor at his law firm, but then he tried coming onto you and you decided not to take that route. He was old and gross and creepy.

You take a shower and blow dry your long hair, giving it some curly waves. Then, you put on your best professional dress with a matching suit jacket. You looked goooood. And felt really confident too. 

You lived in the city and didnt have a car, so you took a taxi. 

When you stepped out of the taxi, you looked up at the tall skyscraper, filled with nothing but windows. Now you started to feel a little intimidated but you didnt let it get you down. 

At the front desk, you check in and get a day pass that you clip to your jacket that has ur name on it. You walked over to the elevator to wait for it. You press the button and then back up a little, and bump into someone. 

You quickly turn around, "Excuse me, Im so - " its a man, his handsomeness takes you off guard and your get stuck in or head for a second before you finish, "..sorry." 

You take a step back and he smiles at you, "Its okay no problem," and he gives you a warm smile that makes you melt. You give a soft smile back. 

The elevator beeps and both of you step inside along with some other people. Its kinda cramped in there. Somehow, you ended up in front of the handsome man. As people were getting in and out of the elevator you kept getting pushed back a little and tried desperately not to back up into him again. 

Your face was a little flush and you started to get warm in there. You kept waiting for the man to get off but he didnt. 'Maybe he works for CROW? Ugh great, then I would be nervy everyday' you thought to yourself. 

The last person gets off 5 floors from the top, and it just you two in there now. The silence is deafening. You just watch the floor number go up and up, its the longest 30 seconds of your life. Finally it beeps and the doors open. Whew!!!!!!

"After you," he gestures with his hand and give another small smile. 

"Oh, thank you!" and you scurry out of there. 

You walk through big glass doors and up to the reception desk. He follows behind but walks past the desk into the office. 'Great so he does work here.....' you sign in your mind. 

"Hello, how can I help you?" asks the pink haired receptionist. 

"Hi, I am here for and interview, my name is (y/n)(l/n)." 

"Of course, you may have a seat and I'll let them know you're here, would you like any coffee or tea while you wait?" 

You're so nervous now you might puke, "No, thank you" you smile at her. Sitting there felt like forever. But it gave you time to organize your thoughts after that whole elevator incident. You felt calmer now. 

You gained back ur confidence, you knew you were gonna be okay. I mean you were top of your class at Harvard law like come on. You got this! 

10 minutes pass, then finally, a talk man with white hair walks into the front desk room towards you. 

"(Y/n)?"

You stand up and put on your best smile. "Yes thats me."

"Hi, I'm Kakashi," he reaches out his hand and you grab it, shaking it, "its nice to meet you. If you'll follow me, we can head to begin the interview process."

"It's nice to meet you too" and you follow him through the office. It was so bright and fresh in there. The vibes were good and every office you went past was so nice inside. It was super fancy in there and seemed like a good work environment. 

Finally you both arrive at a meeting room. The walls are all glass. He opens the door for you and as you are walking in theres someone else sitting at the table. Its the handsome man from the elevator. You heart drops and heat rushes to your face. 'shit.'

He stands up as you walk in, Kakashi coming in behind you. 

"Hello again," he smiles at you. "I'm Itachi Uchiha, its a pleasure to meet you." He says with a wicked smile and hold out his hand, his eyes never leaving yours. 

You reach out and grab his hand for a shake, giving him a cute smile. His handshake is firm and his skin feels good. Soft but not too soft and rough but not too rough. "Hi, Mr. Uchiha, I'm (y/n), its so good to see you. Thank you both for the opportunity to meet with you."

"Please, call me Itachi." You sit on one side of the table and they sit next to each other on the other. 

"You two know each other?" Kakashi asks with a confused expression on his face. 

"We met in the elevator" Itachi never breaks eye contact with you, he has a look on his face like he's thinking something, with a smile. 

"So as you may know, I started this law firm and recently made Kakashi Partner. We have some of the best lawyers in the country working here. We take pride in what we do. We were both very impressed with your resume."

"Thank you, I am quite impressed with your law firm as well," you say. You keep switching between the two, trying to keep eye contact with both. But theres something about Itachi's stare that feels like he's looking into your soul and you become extremely nervous and start to get warm. 

As the interview continues, you get less and less nervous, feeling a bit more comfortable. They make you feel very welcome. You ace all the questions they ask and feel like you gave really good answers. 

"Kakashi and I are going to step out for a few minutes to discuss things and then we'll be back."

"Okay!" you smile. 

They walk out and you wait in there. You just sit there and twiddle your thumbs not entirely sure out to act and the whole room is glass so it feels a lil weird. 

They finally come back and walk to your side of the table. You stand up to face them. 

"Congrats (y/n), we would like the offer you the position as a lawyer here, starting the day after tomorrow," Itachi smiles and reaches out to shake your hand again.

"Thank you so much! I accept," you are smiling from ear to ear and are so happy.

"Great! I'll have our receptionist, Sakura send all the paperwork to you so that you'll be ready to start then. Once again it was a pleasure meeting you and I'll see you Wednesday." Itachi then turns to leave. 

"I'll walk you out," Kakashi says and I follow him out. He says his goodbyes and I shake his hand again. 

Once you get in the elevator and you're all alone you and jump up and down "YES!!!!!". 

'I have to call Ino and give her the good news!!!!'
