*** weekends over bitches, you know what that means ----> MONDAY. WORKY TIME. GONNA SEE ITACHI ***

You're dreading work today. You havent spoken to Itachi since Saturday morning, and are still hung up on his kiss with Izumi. But you cant let that get in the way of your work. Gotta lock in. With that in mind, you get ready and head into the office. 

You say hi to Sakura at the front desk and get into your office and place all the files you were working on over the weekend on your desk. With a mighty sign, you plop down in your desk and run through all your emails. Luckily, theres none from him. 

The morning breezes by with all your paperwork and client calls. Pretty soon its mid afternoon and you realize that youve skipped lunch without realizing it, and are now starving. You spin around in your chair and look out the window over the city. You admire the view and relax a little bit. 

*knock knock knock* 

You spin around to see Itachi in your doorway smiling at you. You force a smile back. 

"Y/n how are you today? You havent come to say hi."

"Im good, sorry Ive been so into my work I didnt realize the time going by," which wasnt a lie, but you were avoiding him. 

"I was wondering if you wanted to comeover for dinner tonight?"

"Let me make sure I have nothing going on," you say as you pick up your phone. You didnt have anything going on but werent expecting this and needed time to think of a response. You stare at your blank calendar. 

Shoot, what do you do???? If you say no he'll just ask for tomorrow or the day after. You know you shouldnt be upset about Izumi, you did the same as him. But only because he did it first. You guys arent exclusive. And that thought makes you realize youve been overthinking this whole thing. 

"Yeah, im free."

"Perfect, want to just ride back with me after work then?"

"Sure!" 

He smiles and leaves your office. You finally take a breath and then put your head in your hands. You shouldve never gotten yourself caught up in this mess with him. Things are way to complicated now. Maybe you can talk to him about it tonight and ask to just be normal coworkers again.

Its the end of the work day, you grab your things and meet Itachi in the lobby to head downstairs. Kakashi is waiting by the elevator too, and you all ride down together which makes you feel better, even though youre about to be alone with him in his apartment. 

In the car, he puts his hand on your thigh and leans over for a kiss. You kiss him back but not for too long. You think back to your kiss with Obito and how much more chemistry there was there. 

"Youre in for a treat, Im cooking tonight."

"Oh really? What are you making me?"

"Lamb with rice and veggies."

"That sounds delicious!" It really did. Maybe you could wait till after you ate to say something about your relationship.
