Oceana remembered that Belly was very much looking forward to the ride to Cousins.

Oceana chuckled as Belly sang along to a Kim Petras song. "Uh, can you turn it down a little?" asked Laurel as she turned in her seat. "Yes, thank you," Steven sighed irritated.

"Thank you. I want you to help more this summer. Like, don't leave your dishes in the sink put them in the dishwasher. And not just your own dishes, Steven," Laurel said as she looked at her son. "What, but I-I," Steven stuttered.

"I want you to be good house guests," Laurel said as she looked at the two friends. "No problem, Laurel," Oceana nodded.

"Yeah, you don't know any different with your rich life," Steven muttered. Oceana flipped him off. "Steven," Belly snapped. "What, I mean she could literally go to Sweden with her parents, but no she's going with us. Why not Sweden?" asked Steven in disbelief. "I'm going every year, remeber Steven? I was born there. Skiing and snowboarding get's boring if you do it almost every day," replied Oceana as she shrugged.

"What?! Whatever. Mom, Susannah literally has people to clean," Steven changed the subject. "Steven," Laurel hissed as she pinched her son. "Ow!" he said as he reached for his arm. "Okay, okay. I'm sorry."

"Oceana also has people cleaning her house, but she also puts her dishes in the dishwasher, right Oceana?" asked Laurel with a smile. "Yeah," lied Oceana as she nodded. She immediately shook her head at Belly as soon as Laurel turned around. Belly chuckled.

"Just be considerate and act like I raised you. Steven, that means not staying out too late," said Laurel sternly to her eldest child. "Mom! I'm too old for a curfew," whined Steven. "Wait, what about me? I don't have a curfew right. I mean me and Oce," corrected Belly herself quickly.

"What the hell do you need a curfew for? You're not going anywhere. I mean Oce I would understand, but you?" Steven asked with a chuckle. "Don't be a jackass Steven," Oceana defended her best friend.

"What?" asked Steven surprised. "Belly, we'll talk about it when something comes up," Laurel ended the conversation. Belly huffed and leaned back in her seat.

Oceana pulled out her phone and pointed to it. Belly nodded and went to Oceana.

'There's no way we're not gonna do anything' texted Oceana. 'Fr' Belly texted back. 'I just wanna get wasted and have a good time with you babes' texted Oceana her best friend with a grin. Belly smiled, 'Me too!!!!'

"Oh and don't forget, you're gonna take me driving. You promised," Belly said to her brother as she put her phone away. "Belly, I told you I'd take you," Laurel frowned as she turned to her daughter. "Yeah, I know. But you're too judgy," said Belly with a smile. Steven and Oceana chuckled.

Oceana got distracted as she got a text. From Shane. Fuck no!

'Hey, what's up?' he texted. 'Going on vacation' Oceana texted back. She didn't wanna talk to him.

'Oh, I just wanted to say what we did was great' Shane texted. Oceana smiled faintly. Thank god he didn't ditch her like some piece of trash. 'Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too' she texted back.

'Wanna do that again, sometime? I mean nobody has to know. If that's also fine with you' he texted. Oceana frowned angrily. 'Nah, I'm good' she texted him back, before blocking him.

Nobody has to know? Was he ashamed of her? What the fuck.

They made a quick stop at a gas station. The two girls walked towards the chips.

"Who were you texting?" asked Belly curiously. Oceana looked up from the bag of chips as she read the amount of calories. "Oh, Shane just bothered me. But I'm done with him. He wanted to keep me a secret, like he's ashamed of me or something," Oceana told her as she shrugged. "Damn, that sucks," muttered Belly. Oceana nodded.

Belly noticed that Oceana was checking every bag for the calories. "You don't have to do that you know," Belly said as she put a Cheeto in her mouth. "What?" asked Oceana as she didn't look up from the cans of Redbull.

"Checking the calories. You're beautiful, probably the most beautiful girl I've ever seen," Belly told her. Oceana smiled and grabbed a hold of the cans.

"Are you guys new this summer?" asked the boy behind the counter. "Uh me? N-no," stuttered Belly. The boy's attention was fully on Belly, so Oceana left them to give them some privacy.

"Really, hmm. I thought I knew all the pretty girls here," the guy flirted with her. "Are you and your friend coming to the bonfire tonight?"

Belly her shoulders dropped immediatly, of course it was about Oceana. "First of the season."

"Uhm, maybe," Belly hestitated. "Come, I'll introduce you to some of my friends," the guy tried to convince her. "Maybe I will," said Belly with a faint smile.

"After we get settled, do you wanna come to Whale of a Tale with me so I can pre-sign stock before the signing tomorrow night?" Laurel asked Belly as Oceana paid for the Red Bull.

"Uh," Belly said awkwardly. "Remember how you used to sit on my lap when I did signings there. You insisted on drawing a whale on every book I signed," Laurel embaressed her daughter.

"No I-I don't remember," Belly lied nervously with a chuckle as she looked at the guy. "I'll take that, thank you," said Laurel to the guy. "I'll see you later!" the guy yelled after them. "What's later?" asked the older woman confused. "Nothing," the two friends quickly lied.

"Don't worry, Bells. The guy wasn't that cute," Oceana reassured her friend as she opened a can of Red Bull. Belly sighed and nodded.

"Red Bull, seriously?" asked Steven in disbelief. "What about it?" snapped Oceana with a grin. "Monster energy is so much better," Steven said. "Shut up, Red Bull is better. So is Max Verstappen," chuckled Oceana. Belly laughed and nodded as they gave eachother a high-five.
