When I woke up the next day Billy was already gone. I sighed softly, getting out of the bed looking out the window. I knew it, he went home and didn't even say goodbye. I rubbed my eyes and went into the house to get ready for the day. For the next few days Billy started to avoid me. I just decided not to let it bother me. The only time we'd see each other was during the school project that we had together. "Hey," I said when he sat down at the desk. He just looks at me and nods in acknowledgement. I sighed a bit, "You're seriously going to pretend nothing happened?" I asked, and he said nothing. "Fine...let's just work on the project." I grabbed my pencil and started working on our project.

As the class went on, he finally spoke to me. "Wait, how old was she when she had her son?" He asked, confused, raising a brow. "13," I sighed, Billy scrunched his nose in disgust. "Who'd knock up a 13-year-old?" He asked, clearly disgusted by this, I nodded, "She was 12 when she got pregnant." I rested my head on my hand. Billy looked genuinely disgusted. "What asshole got her pregnant?" "Her husband, Edmund Tudor the 1st Earl of Richman." I looked up into his eyes. He looks away, "Damn, that's fucked..." "What's fucked is she was married or betrothed twice by that time. I'm unsure if she was married to the first guy, but she was widowed when she had her son." I shrugged; Billy looked disturbed still. "Yeah, it's pretty gross, especially because her first marriage was most likely purely political, and she got out of...her second marriage was well...it was gross." I shrugged, Billy simply nodded and went back to being rather quiet.

When the bell rang, I got my stuff together. Billy looks up at me as if he wanted to say something to me. I looked at him for a moment, before seeing some girl heading over. I sighed walking off and heading to my next class. At the end of the day, I was on my way to my car only to see Billy leaned against it smoking a cigarette. I walked over to him visibly confused, "I need a tutor in a few of my classes." He said looking at me almost the way he looked at other girls, but I saw something different in his eyes. "I can help you with anything but math." I shrugged while getting my keys. "Works for me," Billy chuckled, opening my car door for me when I unlocked it. I sighed, getting in my car and throwing my bag in the back seat, before turning to look at Billy who was now leaning on my car; one hand on the roof of the car and the other on the driver's side door. "What's your angle here?" I asked, looking at him. He rolled his half-lidded eyes and smiled a bit. "There's no angle." He chuckled, "You ignore me, you then ask me to dinner, then we have a moment, you ignore me again, and now you're asking me to tutor you?" I laid everything out because his behavior was honestly incredibly confusing to me.

"Be grateful, most girls I just ignore after having a moment." Billy said jokingly, I narrowed my eyes looking at him. Then it clicked, he was trying to push me away. "Your plan isn't going to work." I smirked, "What plan?" He asked confused, "You know exactly what I'm talking about." I get out of my car, my face now inches from his. "And it won't work with me," I looked into his ocean blue eyes for a moment. He looked at me, knowing I was right. He seemed almost mad that I was. "You think you have me all figured out, don't you?" He asked, his eyes narrowing a bit. "I know I do." I crossed my arms, he leaned in. I felt my heart race, you could cut the tension with a knife. "In fact, I will tutor you after school every Thursday afternoon." I said with a slight smirk, he looked shocked that I actually agreed to it. "Why not Friday?" He asked, trying to play it off like this was his plan. "Friday is Hellfire night." I said as if it was obvious, Billy rolled his eyes a bit. "You are such a nerd," he said, sighing a bit. "And?" I shrugged, not ashamed of it. "Don't you care what people say or think about you hanging out with a bunch of geeks?" He asked as if me being a member of the Hellfire Club was the worst thing ever. "No," I said firmly, he seemed surprised. "It doesn't matter what people who won't matter to me in 10 years think about my life." I said as if answering a question, he didn't even need to ask. I get into my car, and Billy steps back still slightly shocked by my answer. He seemed to care now what people thought about him.

When the day of tutoring arrived I waited on Billy in the library. He was an hour late, I think part of him was expecting me to leave after a while, but I was still there. "You're late," I said, not even looking up at him as he sat down in the chair beside me. "Sorry," He said, not meaning it, "What subject do you need the most help with?" I asked looking up at him, "French," He said, pulling out some of our French homework. "Perfect, my second language." I smiled a bit, Billy just nodded. "Here ya go," He said, sliding the paper to me about to get up, it's clear he was trying to get me to do his homework. I grabbed his jacket pulling him back down into his chair and slid the paper to him. "Nice try," I said, causing him to glare at me intensely. "I'm not going to do your homework for you, but I will help you get a good grade on the assignment." I looked into his eyes, he was trying to intimidate me. It didn't work, so he sighed and gave in. "Jackass," I chuckled a bit as I looked over his assignment. "Bitch," he said in response. "Va te faire enculer," I said looking deep into his eyes. "What did you just say to me?" Billy asked angrily, "Maybe if you worked harder in French class you'd know." I smirked slightly; Billy huffed looking at his assignment.

After a few minutes he got to a question. "What's liver again?" He asked, mispronouncing the French word for book. I could help but laugh, "What?" He asked, confused that I was laughing. "That's not how you pronounce that word." I said, still laughing a little. Billy glared at me, "It's livre, and it means book." I said correcting him, still laughing a little bit. Billy rolls his eyes mocking me as he writes down the answer. I kicked him in the shin, "Ow!" He yelped, "Shhh," The librarian scolded. Billy glared at me, since he got shushed by the librarian. I simply smiled, "You're so lucky that..." Billy cuts himself off. "That what?" I raised a brow. "Nothing," Billy sighed, getting back to his assignment. "No really, what?" I pressed, "I said it was nothing." Billy looked at me rather coldly. "How is it nothing?" I pressed, Billy leaned his head back a bit annoyed. "Can't you just fucking drop it." Billy huffed. I looked down feeling bad for pushing. "Sorry...got caught up in the moment..." I apologized, "No," Billy sighed, "What?" I looked up at him. He sighed, "Don't apologize, look I didn't appreciate you being an annoying little shit. However...I shouldn't treat you like shit." "You're the most confusing man I've ever met." I said looking into his eyes. "Get used to it," Billy chuckled softly. I nudged him a bit, he cracked a half smile. When we were done with the study session, Billy looked at the time. "If you'll excuse me, I have a date." He said getting his stuff together and heading out to his car. I watched as he left, it was like the Billy I knew intertwined with the Billy everyone else knew. However, nobody knew him the way that I did. That I knew for a fact, and I also knew for a fact that I would get the Billy I knew back. Even if I had to prove to him that I wasn't going anywhere, not this time.
