The next day at school I immediately when seeing Billy I rushed to him. He was talking to a couple of guys, "Billy I-" I was cut off by one of his friends. "Oh look the freak-" Billy shot him a death glare, he then turned to look at me. "What?" He asked, sounding annoyed. "I need to talk to you, in private." I said looking at his friends then him. Billy nods a bit, "You heard the lady," He said looking at his friends, who looked confused but walked away. It wasn't enough though since we were in a crowded hallway. I grabbed Billy's arm and pulled him to a janitor's closet. When inside I locked the door. "I found out why we moved." I said as soon as I turned around to face him, he had a smirk on his face until he heard what I said.

"What was that smirk for?" I asked, raising a brow, he gave me a look like it was obvious. "Emma, you dragged me to a janitor's closet and locked the door." He said making it clear what he thought I was doing. I went wide eyed, and my face heated up. "What?! I-..." I tried to speak but I was incredibly flustered until I realized why he had been smirking and I punched him in the shoulder. "What was that for?!" He groaned holding his shoulder. "That smirk and I..." I couldn't help but groan in frustration, "Ugh! You know what it was for." Billy couldn't help but laugh at my behavior. "What's the matter, are you flustered?" He smirked, his voice dripping with mockery. I glared at him for a moment. "Anyway..." I cleared my throat. "We moved because her family was stalking us, and was literally sending threatening things in the mail." I explained quickly, then remembered something as he's trying to process what I just told him. "Wait, don't you have a girlfriend?" I asked, getting back onto the topic from earlier. "Yeah..." Billy said, answering my question. He sighed softly. "So that explains why you guys left, I always thought that work excuse was utter bullshit." He shrugged, "Wait, does that mean you guys will have to move again?" He asked, looking at me a bit worried. "No, why would you miss me?" I chuckled, "Yeah, why not?" He chuckled a bit, but I could tell what he meant by that.

"So basically, you're not going to move again." He bites the inside of his cheek. "Well I didn't say that, I mean when I'm 18 I want far out of this place." I crossed my arms leaning against the closet door. "I don't blame you, soon as I can I'm out of this shit hole." He chuckled a bit. "Where do you want to go?" I asked intrigued, "Anywhere but here." Billy shrugged. "Why not San Diego?" I suggested with a slight smirk. "What like we go together or something?" He asked, able to get what I was implying. "Yeah, why not?" I chuckled unlocking the closet about to open the door when Billy closed it with his hand. I turned around and he was inches from my face. "We never had that dinner." He said as he stood up, backing out of my personal space. "You have a girlfriend now, is getting dinner with another girl a good idea?" I asked, raising a brow. "Well she's more like my flavor of the week." Billy chuckled, I looked at him, "Classy," I said deadpan looking into his eyes. He sighed, "Emma look, she's not like you. Nobody is, and well it'll just be dinner." He states, looking genuine. I nodded, taking a deep breath. "Tonight, I'll pick you up around 8." He smirked, "Can't do 8," I sighed a bit and he looked confused. "Why not?" He raised a brow. "For someone who keeps staring at my chest you're rather blind." I said as I pointed to the Hellfire club text on my shirt. "Really? You can't just skip it?" He asked clearly not to take it seriously. I rolled my eyes, "I made a commitment to the club." I stated firmly. "Alright, how about tomorrow?" He suggested, "No damn, I have a dinner party thing." I sighed, "You hate those, why don't you just show up and then sneak off? I can park down the block and..." He tries to think about how to get my attention. "The gates will be open so you can go around back, climb up the trellis, then knock on the window." I suggested, "I'll give you the clothes I'll change into tomorrow morning." I smirked a bit, "I like the way you think Beckett." Billy smirked looking me up and down. I rolled my eyes, "Anything to get me out of one of these stupid dinner parties." I sighed, moving away from the door so I could turn to open it. "See you tomorrow." I said as I left the janitor's closet. "You too," He chuckled.

When the night in question arrived I meet up with Billy at the library and give him the clothes I intend to change into for that night. "Alright, so what time do you plan on being there?" I asked, looking up at him. "Around 6" He shrugged, "Okay, I'll just sneak off during dinner." I smiled a bit. "Perfect," He smirked, leaning in close to me, and saying into my ear. "I look forward to it." I blushed a moment before realizing something. "Your Jedi mind tricks don't work on me," I joked, stepping back, "You are such a nerd." He rolled his eyes, I simply giggled. "Well why do you hang out with me then?" I asked, crossing my arms. "Cause you're nice to look at." He jokes and I flip him off playfully. I then headed home to go get ready for the dinner party.
