Lady Daylight and Darkness

Chapter Eight

The next morning I awoke in my bed. With Ezra standing at my footstep his expression wasn't the best one. Before I could say anything he held his hand out. "I found you on the beach last night" He said "You were almost dead"He added. "What happened?"He asked "Dead!! That's impossible, I was with Atlas,"I said.

He came and uncovered me revealing my dress was all ripped up and cut marks that had healed. "If you were with Atlas then he's the one who did all this"He said pointing to my scars and the dress umbra came into my room sitting next to ezra. "Atlas did this?" He asked, "He was the only one with me last night"I said Ezra turned to look at me. "Show me,"He demanded. I grabbed his hand and the world went black we were in my mind.

My memories started going from last night. "Wanna go for a walk?"Atlas asked "Sure"I said as we watched the memories from last night after the memories were over "I don't understand"Umbra said I got closer to the memory from last night. The green words appeared in front of me "Idiot" I made my body let go as the world appeared in front of me I quickly jumped out of bed ready to fight. "Sun?"Ezra asked "You really thought it was your dad talking to you or the sun lady talking to you" "How much of an idiot can you be".

"SUN"He yelled as I looked over at ezra. "It was never the sun lady talking to me, how could she know me like that to be able to connect with me"I said "Who then if it's not your dad or the sun lady?"Umbra asked before I could answer moon busted through the door yelling my name and crying. I ran and caught him. Before he fully passed out he said "Atlas he's hurting us" then passed out Ezra took him from my arms. As soon as he took him out of my arms I was with umbra I saw him hurting the other and the evil laugh that haunts my dreams.

As soon as we made eye contact everyone fell down in pain "She's gonna tear you to pieces"He said then he vanished. Everyone besides dove was on the ground and the parents rushed to their kids. Thunder and lightning started striking moons. Parents ran past me and Ezra came out looking at me. The lighting became stronger. It started to rain harder and harder to the point hail was coming down the lighting came closer and closer leaving burned marks on the ground where it hit. I could hear everyone inside "Who's doing this" "This isn't normal weather" I had no intentions of stopping if this was even me.

Moon was behind me gripping my waist pulling me against his body.The weather stopped instantly as I realized where I was. "Think I forgot how to be happy, something i'm not" I said as the storm slowly stopped as his grip tightened on me I turned around still seeing him hurt "I did this" I mumbled "No you didnt"He mumbled back.

Tears streamed down my face I covered my hands with my face.But moon grabbed my hands before I could reach my face "Sun you didn't do this none of this is your fault" He told me looking deep into my eyes his coffee brown eyes with his light tan skin along with his dark coffee brown hair. "Being alive isn't your fault you never asked for any of it" he told me while wrapping me in a hug. He kissed the top of my hair "None of it"He whispered. Ezra saw us both sun and moon protecting each other because one can't live without the other.

"Sun,Moon let's get in"He told us as we sat among everyone else I couldn't think of anything else but. During the day the moon goes into hiding and during the night the sun goes into hiding.During the day I protect moon and during the night he protects me. As tears streamed down my face they were wiped away as fast as they came out. Looking over at moon smiling seeing it was already mid-day all I thought I wasn't there. I didn't protect him.

He smiled at me and mouthed it's okay you're here now. It took a month for everything to go back to normal umbra re-took his position back as the highlord and all the heir's were in their cities as I walk the streets more people feared me now children didn't run to give me flowers or pebbles they found adult would shout at me and some even left to go back to the mortal world.

Moon was in the meeting room with me. "Are you sure you don't have to do this" He told me "I have to for the sake of everyone else more people will get hurt or even die" I told him. "I'll go with you"He said "No I have to go by myself it's the only way"I said "If you get hurt or even worse I don't know how I'd handle it"I added. He didn't say anything this time but he grabbed and held onto me and didn't let go for a while.

I dressed In similar clothes when I got here. A green top with jeans along with moons hoodie it was massive on me but it smelled like him. As we got to the mainland it was completely empty, just me and moon. I turned back, handing him my crown. Tears pouring down our faces.

"Don't worry" I said

"We are sun and moon we'll see eachother soon"We said

We held each other for a while before I went back into the forest.
