Lady Daylight and Darkness

Chapter Thirteen

The next night we meet five more nights before war happens. "Tonight we will be focusing on other aspects of fighting archery" I said, "Everybody grab a bow and arrows"I Said. "Dusk you're up"I said. She went up to the x I had marked to stand the targets were moving targets "Go" I said the targets started moving but with each arrow she had she hit them. I nodded my head In approval and all the others were horrible. I understood Dusk would use a bow and a dagger and Dawn would use a sword. As I sent them to get rest I checked to see if I had a letter from atlas and there it was his response.

Four is better than nothing don't apologize but we need your soldiers to train more than two days with everyone else's come soon

I knew I wouldn't have long for the training. As I prepared my court for the war, sending them away so nobody gets hurt children,mothers and anyone who wouldn't fight. Noon hit they all came back. "Unfortunately I have received word that we must head to atlas court today so you guys can train with them"I explained "Lead the way" dawn said. As I did after we packed clothes and weapons leading them to possible death scared me but I wouldn't let them think I was scared or nervous. I'm their high lady and must protect them at all cost as we got their atlas waiting for us. "Thank you I understand all of your soldiers need training still and we have the whole court to train in since I sent my court away" He explained We all walked into the house seeing how many people their were was scary from close up there's a lot but to moon if our army can fit in a whole house its not many people. "As sun and her people are here now every soldier will be training,eating and sleeping as will we"He said "Training starts now"He added. As everyone left pushing their way through it caused a fight. Everyone tried to stop it but nobody could. I got pushed to the ground as I got up letting my darkness expand into the room. Turning the room black and cold everyone stopped and looked at me "There will be no fight we're going to war you kill anyone here and your head will be mine"I hissed at them. And stopped expanding the darkness and everyone carefully got out of the door. As soon as our soldiers were out most of the highlords and high ladies left with them. "Are you okay?"Atlas asked, coming up behind me "Yeah"I said "Sun"He said. But I left meeting up with my soldiers to help them train. "What about magic?"Night asked "it's dangerous it could get taken away" I said "But if it's the absolute last thing you need to use it" I added. I let night show us her magic first seeing the things she could use and for her magic around to. As they all showed me what they could do with their powers they were all very useful but if anything happens to their powers it be on me. If anything happens to anyone here it be on me everyone trained day and night until the letter came addressed to me. Tomorrow war will be let's hope nobody dies

Everyone was training harder and harder. Now I was weak and tired. I hadn't slept in days worried about my people. I needed a nap. I found my way to atlas room. He was sitting on the bed exhausted. I went and sat next to him letting my darkness fade. He looked up at me "I don't want war sun I just want my powers back"He said "We will get them back and I will protect you through all of this''I said I crawled into bed next to him taking a nap when waking up everyone was gathered waiting on me. Looking over at the clock I stood with my soldiers "Remember don't use your powers unless it's the last option"I whispered to them. They nodded at me as the clock ticked 11:54...11:56...11:59.....12.

I heard him laugh, that raspy laugh he's here with ten times more of an army than we have. Breath my spreaded my darkness through the room as I opened the door walking out with atlas next to as our army marched behind us. We stopped "Atlas,sun welcome to the death of your court"He said. He used his magic killing one of the highladys her court didn't make a noise. "You drew first blood" Atlas said "This is war and I won't back down,come at me moon"I said. Walking forward he made sure my court did not move the smile moon gave me and his army was a fighting one. "Then let it begin,"He said laughing. He tried to strike me but my darkness grew stronger and he tried to take my powers away but that didn't work on me he got pissed. I drew my sword as we fought every strike that I hit him with was intentionally to kill him. He grew tired of fighting me but I wouldn't let him go after these innocent people as I hit and cut him and cut my sword doing my best to not use my powers. He had me pinned to the ground and announced "Give me sun and I'll give atlas his powers back" "No"atlas said he grabbed me throwing me to my dad I couldn't move "Too bad"He said and used his powers to give atlas his powers back. As Moon let me walk freely I tried to escape towards Dawn and he let me dawn wrapped his hands around me realizing my feelings for him and why I wouldn't let them die why I protected you. He wrapped his hands around me, not letting moon take me then moon realized . ''Who's all in your court?"He asked, I shook my head and didn't tell him but Atlas did. "Dawn,Dusk,Day and night"He said "All of you are coming with me then"He explained "Now"He demanded. As we all walked behind moon nobody tried to stop me. All I could hear was atlas saying "finally I thought she would just leave on her own '' As we got there we were cleaned up and given our own room. "Sun"Moon said "I never wanted war" He explained "Neither did atlas"I said "He has you brian washed"He hissed at me I left and went to my room.

I don't know who to believe moon or atlas.

As I'm sitting on my bed thinking, trying to remember anything at all. Dawn comes in sitting on the edge of my bed. "What?"I asked "Do you remember me?"he asked "Should I?"I asked "Yeah,in the forest saving you from drowning in the cave"He said "What? No that was atlas"I said he shook his head no "I saved you after atlas pushed you in"He explained "but I backed into the cave"I said "remember you have to remember"He said tears fell down his face I went and wiped the tears off of his face he grabbed my hand kissing it My memories started floating around me as the world went black.

"Atlas Im not going with you" I said "Why not what did I do to you"He said I was walking further away from him standing in front of the cave that was full of water "Because you hurt my family and you hurt me your a monster"I said "I did it for you"He said getting closer to me "You think that would get me to be all over you then you have another thing coming"I said "Fuck you"He said pushing me into the cave full of water. As I try to swim to the top the current was dragging me under and not able to but doing my best to get out of that I heard another person get in I was sinking I could see his face the scars on his pretty tan skin and the grip he held around my waist as he pulled me out of the water as I gasp for air "Are you okay?"The stranger asked "Yeah I'm fine, thanks" I told him "My name's dawn if you need anything."He said a few seconds later Atlas came and basically threatened to beat him to death if he wouldn't let me leave with him I screamed and cried and kicked atlas.

I looked at dawn sitting on my bed with moon there. "You remember the cave?"He said as I nodded. "What do you remember about it?"He asked "Everything"I said still in shock "What did you do to get her to remember?"Moon asked Dawn "I just held her hand"Dawn said to Moon " You grabbed my waist in the water" I said "The same way you are grabbing my hand now"I told them they looked at each other then at me "Familiar things or objects"They both said to me.
