Dalawang linggo na ang nakalipas simula nang kumain kami kasama ang dalawa kong kaibigan. Surprisingly, the dinner went well. Thea and Harriet did all the talking, with Thea asking all the questions while Harriet simply answered them. I'm just glad they all got along so well and supported us despite our situation. May tiwala rin naman ako sa kanilang na hindi nila ito sasabihin sa iba lalo na sa parents ko dahil hindi pa ito ang tamang panahon.
These past days have been busy for both of us because exams are approaching, so I've been studying a lot. As for Harriet, it's not new that she's busy. I heard she'll be the new president next school year, so she's been working extra hard. Nagkikita pa rin naman kami dahil madalas akong nagtatambay sa opisina niya. Doon na ako nag-aaral habang siya naman ay nagtatrabaho. Just seeing her and being in her company is enough for me already.
Speaking of my girlfriend, I'm actually on my way to see her because today we'll really be spending time together, but with my friends. Thea beat me to asking Harriet out for our next date, so here I am with my two friends in the back seat, heading to pick up Harriet.
"I still can't believe the whole student-and-teacher relationship thing exists. I mean, I know it happens in books and movies, but it's my first time seeing it in real life," Thea stated. I nodded in agreement. I never really thought it was possible, but here I am, involved in one.
"Would you also consider being in a relationship with your professor?" I asked.
"Nah. I mean, both you and the professor look good together, but I'm straight. So, I'd have to date a guy teacher, and that's weird. I think they'd just be dating students out of, uh—"
"Bakit hindi mo nalang sabihin na you find them manyak? Tayo-tayo lang naman. Hindi ka namin ica-cancel," Hailee said, cutting her off. I don't blame Thea for thinking that way pero hindi naman siguro lahat ay ganon.
"Basta 'yun," She replied, dismissing the topic.
We finally arrived outside Harriet's condo, and I already spotted her waiting outside her building. I pulled up in front of her and opened the passenger seat from inside.
"Hey," I greeted, still feeling awkward with my two friends in the backseat pero nagulat ako nang bigla niyang halikan ako sa pisngi pagkasakay niya sa kotse. Kinagat ko ang aking ibabang labi para pigilan ang kilig ko dahil baka asarin pa ako ng dalawa.
"Hello, Professor!" Masiglang bati sa kanya ni Thea. Bumati naman si Harriet pabalik. Samantalang, ngiti lang ang binigay ng aking pinsan. Pinaandar ko na ang sasakyan at nagsimula na ulit magmaneho.
Althea invited all of us to go to Skyranch dahil may promo raw sila sa unli-rides. I was surprised na pumayag si Harriet na sumama because I thought she'd find it childish, but I guess that's just me. Takot din kasi ako sa rides.
"Buti nalang talaga andito ka, Professor. Baka ikaw na ang sagot para sumakay si Isla sa extreme rides," I knew this was her plan all along, but I just let her be as long as I get to spend this day with my girlfriend.
"You're scared of rides?" tanong ni Harriet habang nakatitig sa akin.
"Huh? Hindi ah," pagsisinungaling ko na ikinatawa ng dalawa sa likod. Binuking pa talaga nila ako.
"It's okay. It's safe naman and kasama mo ako," hindi ko na mapigilan ngumiti sa sinabi niya. Tanggal angas talaga pag dating sa kanya.
"Parang ang sarap magpa-hulog sa rides ngayon," biro ni Thea.
We finally reached Skyranch, so we went to buy tickets. They provided us with the unli-rides wristbands before we entered. Wala pa masyadong tao dahil maaga pa naman. Hindi naman ganun kalaki ang Skyranch compared sa Enchanted Kingdom at Star City. Hindi lalampas sa 15 ang mga rides nila dito at may mga ibang palaro din sila.
